I've been in NYC with the fam (
the fam, not our poster fam) for the past week and haven't had much chance to post. Sorry

Here's some more of my top of the year list, which I will try to wrap up by the end of the year

11. Someone That Loves You (HONNE, ft. Izzy Bizu)
This indie-electropop song became an ear worm for me a couple months ago and has been in consistent rotation since. The star, without a doubt, is Izzy Bizu's wonderfully curious voice. As she's singing through the first verse, it's both vulnerable and optimistic. HONNE's piece is much less interesting, but doesn't detract much from the overall song.
10. The Less I Know The Better (Tame Impala)
While I am not the biggest Tame Impala fan, I still like them quite a bit. This track of theirs is my favorite yet, and the accompanying video is so damn interesting. It in total feels like it should be a late 80s/early 90s coming of age movie. But yet, somehow, the song is much more mature than that. The song really peaks is the closing verse, as the character is reconciling not being with his love interest. And the final lyric of the song, repeated, is one of my favorites of the year: 'Come on, Superman. Say your stupid line.'
