Honestly, Novak being cut makes me almost as happy. I love Steve, but it was more than time for him to hang it up.

Well, it might mean another deal in the works or a buy out, so take it as a potential positive

Picking up Hawes makes me think Telly could be heading elsewhere too.

Some combination of Henson / Monroe / Telly are getting dealt considering how many bigs we have now.

Maybe Vaughn or Snell as well.

Also here is the Hornets' board discussion for anyone curious:

If they can get rid of Henson too I'll kiss Hammondz on the mouth.

We gave Novac the veterans hand shake. NBA encourages this and incentives teams that do. Just bring him back as a shooting coach.

Just got home and don't feel like reading 13 pages, is it confirmed there are no picks involved?

Thon/Hawes/Henson/Monroe/Hibbert. That's hot.

You know you were in a bad spot when fans of other teams show up to congratulate you on a salary dump. It was a pretty good one, though.

I'm glad we got rid of the Plumblee contract, but the thought of actually watching Hibbert and Hawes play in a Bucks uniform makes me nauseous. I'm hoping we flip or cut these guys quick. I don't want these guys to play...like ever.

I suppose we can "praise" Hammond for dumping a contract that he was foolish enough to offer in the first place.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Great deal.

Charlotte is dumb and loves their Blue Devils and Tar Heels. Plumlee should have never been given that deal in the first place. Another example of Hammond having to get rid of one of his own just a few months into their contract because it was a disaster.

Why does everyone think that Hawes and Hibbert are actually seeing mins on our team. Unless we move Monroe and Henson they are our 4th and 5th centers behind monroe, thon, henson.

Thon has been playing center, but he's really a power forward right now. The way I'm hoping for this to work out, and somewhat expecting, is Henson and Teletovic are dealt. That leaves us with Hibbert starting, but Monroe remaining the pseudo starter, Hawes is pretty much tethered to the bench, and Thon gets spot minutes at center and power forward. That would be a pretty balanced roster and rotation then.

I never imagined we'd be able to dump Plumlee for what could end up being an expiring. If we can actually get an asset in return for Henson I'll be giddy.

Anyone else have this feeling that Hammond purposely signs these bad contracts just to trade. Making him look like a genius to keep his job another year?

Yes, we probably could have just signed Hibbert to his contract for 'insurance', and bypassed Plumlee and Hawes. But here we are!

Because we know our coach.
