I've never played it, and not gonna lie, initial impressions from the book's cover (so-to-speak) leave me thinking it looks...let's go with stupid. But I see all kinds of people freaking out over the Nintendo Direct yesterday, and the Reddit sub has some memes about replacing Stardew Valley / Stardew Valley for 2020.

Are they really that similar?

I picked up Animal Crossing for the 3DS years ago, and I lost interest in two days. This was before I got into Stardew Valley, though, so maybe I'd appreciate it more now. But I mostly doubt it.

Have you ever played harvest moon? Harvest Moon is very similar to Stardew Valley. Animal Crossing's system is based around real time so the events and things you can do are tailored to when you play. It's a great game if you like to just relax and enjoy the game when you can.

They are similar, but I've barely scratched the surface of Stardew. I loved AC: Wild Word and New Leaf, played the heck out of them. It's stupid in that you really don't have to do a damn thing, you could spend the entire game fishing, plucking weeds and digging for fossils so you can sell stuff and upgrade your house. Or you can go person to person having a convo and running errands to get stuff. Back when I played on the DS too you could visit others towns (still a feature I believe) but now you can even play local at the same time. I find playing it to be relaxing, and something I can do if I have 10 minutes to play or a few hours.

If you liked Stardew you'd more than likely love AC.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking I might be able to get into it. I'd love another game to pick up whenever and not feel the need to dedicate a ton of time to it unless I have it/want to. I think I will just need to get over talking to an anthropomorphized seal, or whatever.

I'll probably check it out.

I'm back into Borderlands 3 for the third time. My thing is I'm absolutely drowning in legendaries. I've got 131 in my bank, another 30 in my backpack, and that's with selling maybe 50. I almost feel like they're giving them out too easily. I haven't explored the mayhem modes too much, but I know I can melt (as the kids say) a boss on Mayhem 4 in 15 seconds. Then I play co-op arena modes with three other folks and I see their insane builds and I feel completely inadequate. Dudes with shields permanently up, or with drones that constantly destroy everything below, or weapons that drop what basically look like nuclear strikes.

The depth of this game is stupid.

I'm in need of a macbook. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg though. Anyone have any recommendations on years and where to buy them?

Starting my 4th (I think?) replay of Dust: An Elysium Tail. I was surprised to find out I didn't own it on the PS4. Happy to find out they had a hardcore difficulty mode that's actually got some teeth to it.

Still one of the best games ever, even though it's eight years old.

FFVII Demo is out. Totally recommend it. I’m fully on the hype train now

Attn: Ron Swanson. The FF7R demo includes Classic Mode as playable, which is the fully turn-based system.

Going to have to play around with that.

Same. Didn't try it out yet as I wanted to watch the second half of the game (unapologetically skipped the first half to play it, lol).

It was wonderful. Battle system will take some getting used to, but better feel off the bat than I had even expected. I think the biggest thing will be expectations of changed settings or, especially, music. The reactor music, for example, didn't have the sharp high notes, and I miss those because of the nostalgia factor.

It’s still early though. We don’t know what the end product will look like yet. I really enjoyed the English VA, and the banter between cloud and the avalanche members

Agree, as this is a demo that's been out in press since late 2019. But I can't imagine the soundtrack is changing.

Looks like a TLOU series is going to be coming sometime soon to HBO.

I've been in a rut the last few months and at the start of season 2 for COD i decided I'd committ to that. Now I have a love/hate because I feel compelled to finish. I'm currently only through 58 and w/ the release of MLB the Show and my interest in playing 2k yet it's going to be tough to finish I fear.

Sounds like it might just be an NFL version of NBA Playgrounds, but 2K Sports is officially returning to making NFL games. Has to be a "non-sim" game due to EA's current contract (which expires in 2021). First 2K game is expected out in 2021.

It's too bad that EA owns the rights to NFL Blitz because that would be exactly the kind of football game I'd be excited to see again.

This week feels like the calm before the storm. There's a lot of great releases on the calendar starting with the end of the month.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
