Same, do other things and sometimes fall asleep. Yes, it has not been good in quite some time now. Why I just didn't care enough to keep up on it. The dumb/funny part of it all is that after being sooo slow and dragged out forever, they're now probably rushing the wrap up a bit now.

And yea I see the ads for the spinoffs and FTWD. I feel like I've gone out of my way to make it through this so don't plan on bothering with those. I did do the first maybe two seasons of FTWD as I did like some of the actors from other shows, bt don't think I'll ever go back and bother catching up on that. I've forced it just to make it this far.

At some point you'd think they realize they overplayed their hand a bit with the spinoffs, possible movies, etc.

I prefer FTWD. Also moves slow but like the cast better.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The Untold series is pretty good. Just watched the "Crimes & Penalties" one about the hockey team and the "real" Soprano family.

The last episode of TWD I watched was when Rick got picked up in a helicopter by the character who, before previously vanishing, tanked the series permanently for me. Seemed like a good place to walk away. Have thought about coming back to it now and then over the past few years but always come around to not wanting to do that.

One of the several issues I have with TWD is the fact that they announced the spinoff when they did - removes ANY sense of drama for those two characters in any situation - you know what's not going to happen.

Maybe the show could take place within one of the time gaps?

They are still planning on at least 2 movies with Andrew Lincoln. The first one is suppose to start filming soon. It will be in theaters not on AMC. Pass.

Right. his story line should be brought back in to wrap up the series and then be done with. No way I'll go to the theatre for it.

Possible, they do like to jump around on the timeline. But then you run the risk of people not watching the show because they know one/both of the characters dies eventually, even if it is on the original series.

I dipped shortly after Steve Yeun's character died (maybe one season), not necessarily b/c he did, but it was already slow and I missed the start of the following season and just couldn't be asked to catch up.

Spoiler:
Had the ep where rick died spoiled at a bar funnily enough

DingleJerry wrote:I actually hadn't looked much into the Sopranos thing other than seeing that headline. I actually thought this prequel was going to be a show rather than a movie. I'd still guess they could've told a better story by doing at least a mini season, but we'll see. I'm guessing it'll feel forced a bit whereas the show would allow time to build characters up a bit. I'll watch it because why not, but yea I'm probably more on Mickey's view, I liked it and all but wasn't blown away by it and could nitpick a lot of things about it.

Also, I saw Walking Dead is finally finishing soon. I'd gotten so bored with I quit several years back. Not out of deciding to do it, but just that I never got around to watching because I didn't care. But with it ending I spent the time to catch up. For those that watch I have a couple small things. It's been fast-forwarded to several years in the future, I don't recall the number but let's say about 10, so let's say the zombie world is about 15-20 total years old at this point. How is there still tons and tons of zombies? Most people to die in this span will have known to take care of the brain so they can't zombie so a limited amount of new dead prospects have been happening. Combine that with the remaining humans have been killing piles of zombies for this whole time and you'd think you'd have numbers pretty low at this point. The other one for me is how zombies are randomly quiet in order to surprise people, that's been a thing the whole show though. I know, it's a zombie show so can't take it too serious or anything so I can just let it all go. But the first thing I mention gets stuck in my head now.

After like season 1 or 2, the zombies/virus was just a plot device to drive the human interactions and excuse any holes. They just kind of became the ex machina character to save the day, kill a character, create drama from nothing, eat up an episode when out of ideas, whatever else.

I watched the first 2 episodes of Longmire and thought it was ok. Is it worth continuing?

I did it all and liked it. Nothing revolutionary, but if you like cop/detective and/or western type shows it should be very watchable and something you eventually like. Most episodes have an individual crime/mystery along with the an ongoing story arch, which I found to be a good thing.

I haven't been this thrilled in ages for an upcoming series.
I have been a huge fan of the Sandman graphic novels since their release.
Cast looks good, Charles Dance was an unexpected surprise and at least the trailer looks quite accurate in comparison to the
book scenes
