I think he'll be good and nearly all scouts are unanimous in stating he has a mean streak, but I don't see #1 overall pick production. At all.

Durant had the same body type but avg 26/11. I've only seen a few games (early non-con and tournament), but he's mostly been anonymous outside of being a solid help side shot blocker. I just wouldn't want to be the one to take him.

Durant had the ball handling, quickness, elite shooting from all distances, etc. Basically had G skills in 6'11 body and was absolutely unstoppable. IMO the only similar thing between the two is they're skinny. Durant's freshman year was simply incredible to watch, never seen anything like it and I made it must watch tv (while betting the overs a ton). Still dumbfounded he didn't go #1 overall.

They had some incredible shootout down to the wire type games that year, great stuff to watch. I think there was a double or triple OT game vs A&M who had Acie Law at the time that was crazy.

Here's hoping for 4 good games tonight and wins from St. Peters, Providence, UCLA and Iowa State. I normally root against the team that knocks out the Badgers but can't stand Miami.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

A few counterpoints:

1. Give me every single good landmine that we can in front of Coach K. St. Peters has had their moment. If Painter can knock off K at some point, I will take that tradeoff, even if they are somewhat of a rival in basketball.

2. I kinda spin it a different way at times. Especially the way this went. Once the Badgers are out, sometimes I want all of the best teams to win. This year I think it was built in anyways of, "flawed team and boned without Chucky" but usually my brain will subtly go for the better teams so I can tell myself, "we weren't going much further anyways."

After the first weekend, I generally want the better teams to win tbh because I figure Cinderella will flame-out and lay an egg on the court eventually, which makes for boring games. It's super exciting the first weekend, but it ends quickly.

Of course, it's fun when Loyola Chicago happens, too. It's just rare.

The Big 10 isn't even gonna make it to the E8.

Lots of randomness in the tourney.

I love watching Purdue lose, but this is bad news for the fraudulent Big Ten.

I agree, but this is also not exactly the first time it's happened.

Hey, why is St. Peter's celebrating so much? It's not like they've made the Final Four.

I can't figure out St. Peter's. How does a team lose to Iona and Siena twice each and then play this well in the tournament? It'd be one thing if they were just on a wild heater, but they're not hitting outside shots, they're just playing and executing at an extremely high level at both ends. They didn't even win the **** MAAC regular season title! How does this happen?

Badgers: Co-Champs of a league with no teams in the Elite 8.

Ride that rocket.

Comparing a 4-seed from a power conference to a 15-seed from a mid-major?
