Oh, the drama!
He seemed like a good addition but at the same time i'm not going to lose sleep over the guy who ended George Karl's career and hasn't played on a team more than a season since.

On to bigger and better things. Hopefully the Bucks can get a better player in a Simmons deal that involves half the teams in the league and has players moving all over the place.

I agree that he's progressing. He's looking quicker, and that's important that he develops as a 4, because he doesn't have the length to be a 5. Toronto, and their centerless lineups, were a unique challenge for Mamu, and I thought he had some nice moments. Wish he would have hit another 3 or 2.

I'm happy they moved on from Boogie, but I don't see a need to justify that with the current roster. I think Boogie is simply the wrong type of character to have on your roster.

My initial take was surprised he was let go. But then after learning the contract situation, it made perfect sense and I agree with it. I think he's generally been fine and and shown he can still hang in the Association. I also don't think he's a playoff contributor for a title other than spot minutes here or there, so why clog up the roster making it more difficult to find someone who can contribute in some fashion.

Next year, fingers crossed.

If he keeps up what he did at Purdue.. you'll need a top 5 pick.

He'll have some bad games probably though.. but i'd be shocked if he went outside the lottery now.

I saw someone post that he was terrible last night and I thought we were watching different games. He looked noticeably more comfortable out there to me and he was playing his ass off. Defensively I'm still not sure he's going to hold up but I liked some of the stuff he was bringing for sure.

I don't feel strongly about Cousins, but exactly one malcontent egotistical a-hole ended George's career and his name was George Karl.

i could care less about losing his inefficient high usage offense. i want a defender in that role.

his pouting and horrible body langauage with the refs was only going to get worse as his tenure went on and i cant even imagine combining his horrendous defense with zero self control in a playoff game. hes literally the last thing this team needs at that position moving forward as a risk reward bench contributor

i will agree it was fun to root him on in some random mid season games. he was a treat in his postgame interviews

Wait a minute, weren't you recently saying that great pick-ups like Boogie wouldn't be possible if we'd kept PJ?

no sure i ever mentioned boogie as a "great pick up"?

if anything id clearly agree his roster slot was standing in front the guy that might become that "great pickup"?

it was cool we swung on him and i remained openminded for sure. but he sucked defensively. not just bad but he flat out sucked. id seen enough

KAT has really good net ratings as long as he plays with dogs (Beverley, Vanderbilt). Him and Giannis would be a terrific fit not only on O but because Giannis' attitude would get the most out of Towns on D. If combining those two ever becomes an option it should be done, almost always.

Precisely. He looked like the game had slowed down for him and he could trust his instincts. The net results will average out in due time. I saw a little Ingles or Kukoc in him. Yeah, white guys, whatever. I couldn't think of other comparisons so sue me.

Cousins getting cut makes this board feel like 2015 again.

Is it a 10-day? Guessing he's just filling in until we get some bodies back from protocols?

It is a 10 day/hardship deal, yes. I didn't realize you were allowed to do that if you had open roster spots, though.

Who fell for what? People just decided it might be interesting to debate the merits of trading Khris + those guys for KAT, which really has very little to do with Supreme's suggestion, other than the fact that it led to a discussion about KAT.

I love how any time someone is cut, the first thing for some of you is, "see! The billionaire owners are cheap!"

I'd trade Khris for Kat pretty easy tbh

I'm actually a bit excited about Kornet. When I watched the Knicks he was really smart at setting and navigating screens and he's a plus shooter and surprisingly solid defender. He's basicly what we're looking for, albeit on the lowest level that still makes sense.
