Could someone explain to me how the young guys earn more minutes? I’m getting a catch-22 vibe from AG and some posters here with the whole they need to perform better in non-garbage minutes but are hardly given any non-garbage minutes.

And even then, Dre played insanely well in his three non-garbage time minutes against the Heat and all that “earned” him was a seat on the bench for the rest of the game.

I noticed the same thing! They need to bring Amare in to work with him on the art of being a roll man

You don't need to bring in Amare. But if Giannis had Amare's mid range jumper, it would be over.

So it's a bit easier to guard the pick n roll with Giannis since no team is going to fear him popping to the high post/mid range for a jumper.

In his 3 minutes against the Heat, Jackson had a Ortg of 85.7, a Drtg of 150.0 and a Net Rating of -64.3.

Why are people using team stats for individual players?

I'm a AJJ believer but if we want to go this direction he has a 27% turnover % and fouls 7 times per 36 minutes.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

shouldn't be hard to clean that up. we really need to just go all in on developing him this season. he has potential to be our 5th best player.

AJ green ceiling is a better Bryn Forbes. I don't think anyone expects Kyle Korver.

I think he's better than Sam Merrill, quicker and more athletic (not saying a lot I know). (BTW Sam still got paid $5mil for 3yrs by an NBA team so you know teams value this specific skill).

As others say he won't be a good defender but if he's not hurting on D and with the emphasis on the 3 ball in the current NBA he could have a role if he figures it out.

He may be playing in China next year, he is more likely to end up out of the NBA than make it, however, just having a chance to be a 3pt specialist is worth keeping him around and see if it's possible.

There's still some value if he can maximize his potential. But seeing how he is used, he's got be able to come in cold and still hit shots in that couple of minutes stretch.
