Yes. Makes us worse offensively and defensively.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Looney
Giannis
Wiggins
Klay
Dame
Beasley
GSW 2025 1st + Marjon/AJJ should be good enough for someone you can trust in an 8 man rotation, might even net a 5th starter.
Crowder

It's banking on Klay taking less shots and being more efficient and Wiggins at the very least giving you good Defense. But Dame and Giannis should make it easy for Klay and Wiggins on Offense + we'd still have Beasley. And that pick + Marjon/AJJ is definitely worth a solid player.

The realization that he’s a basketball corpse likely won’t sit in for awhile.

But hey, ya never know. He won’t be able to play back to backs but maybe for $30 million we’ll be able to ramp him up to 15 minutes a game by the time the playoffs roll around.

They were never going to trade Middleton.

Is that about right?

I think the only one that was ever talked about and came out true in the end was the Crowder one.

PJ Tucker talks were also reported months before the deal went down.

Alex Lasry leaked plenty but it seems like Horst doesn’t.

However teams / agents he negotiates with do.

You didn't address the drop-off from Brook to a fat center that can't shoot. Looney is no longer the agile, switchable player he once was, he's done. We now have no backup for him either. Also, losing Middleton's passing kills the offense. Klay will never stop shooting either.

Giannis fault. Henson said he vetoed the Khris for Jimmy trade. We'd have what 3 rings by now at least. Giannis might be the worst GM in league history. When he complains about winning I just want to punch him, we probably dont even know 10% of the terrible decisions he's forced the org into.

I don't think he can play well with others and that might be why Dame is struggling. If we get bounced early we should just trade Giannis, Khris and Brook and tank with Dame, at least we'd get some fun games.

We lose game 5 of a west coast trip short handed, and the board goes nuts again.

Just completely wasting roster spots on bad players/players who never play will never not frustrate me.

But but but these spots don’t matter! That’s what half of the sycophants on the board have been telling me for 4 years

Well that's because you only need 6 players in the playoffs so it really doesn't matter if you have a bench. Heck, they should've added Middleton's doctor as a bench player. He would probably be more useful.

It seems like Horst is doing his due diligence, be bold n go big as possible. Breaking up the core takes huevos Im not sure Horst has but he has to know he doesn’t have another coaching hire, its his head on the block now imo.

I don't want Wiggins, I think his off the court stuff has messed him up, but if we do trade for him, GSW has to throw in Saric too.

Yeah, it worries me having two guys that have serious off court personal stuff going on (Dame and Wiggins) and both of them just not being mentally in the game.

You guys can't seriously be doing the #AllRosterSpotsMatter thing in the final game before the trade deadline when we had 3 of our Top-4 guys out and Middleton nearly got Kawhi'd by Zaza err I mean Kevin Durant lol. Hell, just look at Phoenix as a perfect example. They looked like a play-in team for nearly 2-months just because Beal was out and they had to play certified scrubs like Josh Okogie and Jordan Goodwin (two guys this board would probably love for whatever reason). Things really aren't that dire. Any one of Royce O'Neal, DFS, Grant Williams, Thybulle, Caruso, Grimes, etc. will do. Just please no Wiggins or Miles Bridges.

Horst has plenty of faults.

But this is not one.

Not after the Jrue and Dame trades.

You could say his degree of deference to Giannis might burn us again. However where we are at now I don’t think either one would pass on the right BroLo or Khris deal if it’s out there.

Gery Woelfel posts from 2015

I don't get this post. 2013-14 in Giannis's rookie year was fully under drew and played a ton/showed flashes. His only DNPs were early in the year, which is understandable based on Giannis's ability at the time just coming into the NBA. Giannis was a 71 game starter in 2015. Giannis was an extremely raw 19 year old we spent a first round pick based on potential alone. He needed to put on weight and get some coaching. AJJ is a 20 year old who is probably close to fully developed physically and had 3 years of high-end college coaching.

In 2015, we were the second worse team and couldn't waste promising assets to win-now. Now we have to do whatever it takes to win a championship.

So like this doesn't hold water in reality nor in context of who the players were and were we are as a team.

ETA: This is probably closer to our current situation:
Marjon is bad. I get he’s the young new toy, but he was playing terrible. Bud immediately benched him and AG/Doc has followed suit.

Would I keep him as an end of the bench guy? Sure. Would I care if he’s dealt? Nope.

Andre should have absolutely played more against Utah just to give the starters some rest on a B2B, and I would have liked to see Marjon play some last night. Kind of weird if/when Marjon gets dealt that he's the guy you'd do nothing to "showcase" in either of the last 2-3 games.

I remember a poster the other day trashing everyone that wanted to trade Middleton. Who is looking like the clown now? That dude is toast. Always injured, past his prime etc. Get rid of him today and attach a good player if you need to, so we can rid ourselves of that horrid contract... We can pay 1/3 of that price for 15 PPG

I mean I can be convinced on a Bobby, Pat and 1 of the young guys for Wiggins and a 2nd round pick. He turns it around and we majorly win that trade. He doesn't and all we lose are Bobby a bum and a young guy we'll never play. Even worst case scenario he's still going to be playable.
