The minor league players and minor league coach beat the Aussies. I guess that means the whole Aussie team is high school level.

I love watching both the Australian and Greek teams and got what I wanted. You're a pathetically bitter and twisted, minor league enthusiast who hates his own country's GOAT.

Looking forward to you blasting Giannis on the general board when Greece loses! Just remember your hate won't make anybody care any more about the Greek Monta Ellis.

This dude might be the most easily triggered person I've ever seen. Maybe he should take up pistol shooting to get over his anger issues, could probably win a silver with both eyes open.

Spanoulis was better offensively ... after Nick Galis in 80s he was the 1st Greek guard to become a point scoring guard (like the typical nba guards) , top scorer of a team and a deadly closer. He was flashy performing shamgod dribbles daily and he is probably one of the first in the world who mastered the side step 3. 99% of the world's guards where doing step back 3s, side step was seen mainly at the mid range. Spanoulis took it further into deep 3ps.

Papaloukas and Diamantidis were NOT top scorers in their teams.

I believe peak Diamantidis was making more winning plays than peak Spanoulis. Then again Diamantidis never reached the offensive level of Spanoulis. I think it is a wash. Coaches would prefer the versatility of Diamantidis over the scoring of Spanoulis... peak young Diamantidis was like Jrue defensively, probably better.
6'5 with 7'0 wingspan harassing opponents guards, like completely demoralizing them with steals and blocks. Since he retired I haven't seen a player like him. He was one of a kind. Spanoulis was more like Tony Parker. Sorry for the long post, I got carried away by my memories...

Yep, it is about how the commitments required to qualify involve stuff that substantially overlaps the NBA season. It's not really possible to be a nationally ranked 3x3 player and play in the NBA.

https://fiba3x3.com/en/olympics/who-can-participate.html

CBS put an article up a few hours after I said it, https://www.cbssports.com/olympics/news/2024-paris-olympics-how-team-usa-can-fix-its-3x3-basketball-problem-in-time-for-the-games-on-home-soil/

Good article. Few things though: 1. they have to practice for it to understand the rules and the quickness of the game. If you think you can run away with it without good practice, you probably fail. 2. The risk of injury might prevent promising college players or NBA players in their prime to participate in this.

The performance of our Greek NT is the reason why I have been posting here so many times to RESPECT the elite shooters more.
(Pre GTJ) We should have given AJ Green more minutes during regular seasons, we should have run more off ball screens for Khris and AJ Green at the 3 point line.
Random Basketball = Random Results
From Champion to 1st Round exit

Greek NT is stuck in 70s points on offense (40 min game)
Bucks are having a hard time to reach 90 points in post season (48 min game) ... Please stop the all defense madness. Respect the shooters, they have double value on a Giannis team....

Like I am begging you, just end this madness, Giannis turns 30 this December ... he doesn't have Lebron's durability.

No, need Serbia to win by 3 or more. Or South Sudan by 24 or more.

Serbia is heavily favored. However, they lost by more to the US than Sudan. Both playing to continue in the Olympics.

Game tips in 4 hours? PR vs USA first.

Embiid is such a bum. I'm at the point where him having what it takes to lead a team to a championship is inconceivable. Net negative for the sport, and Team USA would definitely be better off without him.

I am not going to call them "dream team" but is this USA team only 2nd ever when USA sent the best players they could send?

1992 Dream Team > 2012 Redeem Team (with Kobe) > 2024 US Team (this team's superstars are well past their prime)

There is a lot of ‘aura’ talk around the league, who has it, who doesn’t. He’s almost got like a toxic aura.

His success is 98% an invention of NBA officiating.

Yes, 3 or more and Greece moves on.
Does Serbia have anything to gain in this game?

Serbs up 3 in the half time against South Sudan
47-44
South Sudan are playing real good.
They have no answer for Jokic BUT they are shooting the 3 well and get 2nd chance points by grabbing offensive boards.
