NOOOOOOO!

With how bad that initially looked, and if it’s as simple as an “elbow strain”, that’s a sigh of relief. I’m guessing he’s out until at least the start of November.

I’m sure we’ll hear more about the injury tomorrow. Then we can all panic to varying degrees.

We would have won if Middleton played.

Treating the preseason like it's Summer League and even our young guys are playing like that.

Big thing is Dame is flamethrowing and our starting lineup should be great. Just make it to the POs and let the boys cook.

Preseason hot takes are fun.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Well that was a very ugly & sloppy game by the Bucks. All of the young guys were real bad, but overall I'm not going to takeaway anything major from a single preseason game, just hoping Gary Trent Jr doesn't have a long absence.
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Listen, I think AJJ is a solid prospect with some really nice tools and a considerable ceiling. Height, handles, and shot creation. The issue for me when we drafted him was that he is an almost guaranteed non-contributor this season taking up a roster spot. I will die on the TSJ hill, who has yet to prove he can be a rotation player for Minny, but think he could have actually given us something now, in our window.

As far as Ajax. We know who he is. He is a high-energy chaos merchant and glue guy. He can look good and be effective when sprinkled in with the vets, but can look like a non-NBA player in weaker lineups.

Trading Bobby has been obvious for a while, but I am very worried about his trade value moving forward. Pretty clear that Horst has shopped him on a few occasions and has been unable to get a viable return.

Very encouraged by Dame's performance/appearance/demeanor. If he is back in elite form, we will be a force to be reckoned with, as long as we manage to be healthy when it matters most.

Dame and Brook looked great
Bobby was classic Bobby (both good and bad)
Taurean Prince has a livelier body than Crowder.

The rest was terrible. Just terrible.

I have no idea why we are persisting with Marjon. If anything he looks to be regressing, and he wasn't starting from the greatest position to begin with.

I don't think they are per se. They're seemingly persisting only in the sense of this training camp. If he doesn't show something, they aren't picking up the option. I put the chance at like 5%.

And it's a toss-up he's even on the roster after. It could give him a bad attitude in addition to the other problems. I'd scrap him for an athletic big. Unfortunately the options would have been better earlier in the offseason.

That excuse doesn't jive w/ the stats. I mean his top lineup in minutes was just him w/ the starters and they were -14 per 48.

Ajax is a walking example that drafting Win Now Rookie Guy is stupid.

It's always better to draft the guy who you think will be better three years down the line.

That's an odd case in point. He's not a win now player. A win now player could shoot & functionally defend, like Shannon. Ajax can do neither. He was also a 2nd rd pick. Odds are they're win never players.

You might want to, I don't know, use Shannon himself as an example. He's looked awesome in comparison to Ajax at both summer league and in preseason thus far.

He was given high marks for his makeup, smarts, defense, high floor, and being the "winning" guy on UCONN's championship team. He was an obvious win now draft pick.

I was badly wanting us to take Nikola Jovic in the 2022 draft. Marjon was like a jack of all trades kind of prospect I thought, and was not at all enthusiastic about the selection. Jovic was a very good scorer/shooter. Jovic has not done much either but I still expect him to be considerably better than Marjon.

Other than the above, Horst has in recent years at least, had low draft picks. It is very hard to find gems from that group.

Aj Jackson seems to have regressed. I have hopes for AJ Johnson though.
