the short bus, you sound quite familiar with that, guessing your ass was kicked on it routinely...who the hell are you to say his numbers would be slightly better, they could be hugely better, I certainly know your intellectual capacity does not allow you to make such a presumption.

You do realize that Andrew Bynum is better then Bogut, right? God please tell me you realize that.
I'm not in this conversation, but this made me laugh out loud.
You sound like a man ready to run out into traffic if this statement is refuted.

I bet Redd would put up better numbers and the team would compete for a title if he played with a post player like Tim Duncan or KG instead of Bogut...
What the hell is the point of this argument? That if the Bucks can get a hall of fame talent to replace Redd that the team will be better and Bogut will put up better numbers?
I'm pretty sure everyone knows that...

Exactly, and redd's definitely made some strides, but I just think he has a certain mentality since he's the guy with the big contract, the veteran, and has been the go to guy for so long in milwaukee, that he just continues to need to score and put up his stats no matter how well his teammates are playing, or whether its in the flow of the game or not.

I don't think redd would be happy coming off the bench for the spurs and scoring 15 ppg.

Here is the problem. I'm not the biggest fans of Mo or Redd, I like them, just like I like Bogut because they're Bucks. I'm just objective when I evaluate this team. I'm not really defending Mo and Redd, just trying to understand where all of this Bogut love comes from. HE'S NOT THAT GOOD. The problem with you and X-titan is you're so deep in love with Bogut, that he can do no wrong.
I'm one that would kind of like to see Redd traded. I've said time and time again Redd can't carry a team by himself. He's not Kobe or LeBron, He needs other good players around him for this Bucks team to work. Guess what? I hate breaking this to the Bogut fan club, but Bogut, Mo, Dez, Simmons aren't that good, or at least not good enough to complement Redd.

Thats the problem, he doesn't need to "carry" the team, he just needs to learn how to defer more often and work on lifting his teammates play and not just his.

What does that have to do with anything, first of all? I said if Redd played with Duncan rather than Bogut, not if he replaced Ginobili on the Spurs.
But I'm pretty sure he could learn how to blend in on the Spurs, considering he would have one of the best coaches of all time and the best player in the NBA influencing him rather than Larry K and Andrew Bogut... Not to mention the allure of winning a championship.
The argument here is that if we could magically trade Redd for Kobe or Kidd our team would be better and so would Bogut... And that's true...
But if you could magically trade Bogut for KG or Duncan it would have the exact same effect except the team would be a title contender because of pairing Redd with an elite player rather than a one and done playoff team by pairing Bogut with an elite player.

I am more deeply in love with your wife then I am Bogut, but that another story..............I often find the pro game difficult to stomach, other then the Bucks, I do not watch alot anymore, I much prefer the college game because of the unslefishness, ball movement, and teamwork....I look at the Bucks and I see Bogut and Yi as players who play (for the most part) the game the right way, with a high basketball IQ.....I don't see that from many other players on this team and if you look at the succesful teams...Spurs, Pistons, Suns....they all seem to love to share the ball and play a much more intelligent brand of basketball....probably why I have problems stomaching Mo and Redd. I have ripped Bogut this year for not being nearly aggressive and calling for the ball in the post.....but after watching the game last night it just seemed that Ivey. Bell, and Simmons looked to get it to him more....Bogut certainly has a ways to go but he has improved and needs more touches....plus I don't see any of these other great young centers having to run there teams half court offense.

Wow, the human run-on sentence is questioning my inttelect.
And did you say hugely better? You couldn't think of a better adjective then "hugely" ? Since you brought up my lack of intellect, we can always go there if you would like.
X-titan, I respect your passion, I really do. But realize when someone disagrees with you, it doesn't mean they are insulting your mother. Wishing someone would run out into traffic just screams maturity.

I would agree with that.....Redd would be a good 2nd banana, he is not a star or a leader and he probably would be much better with someone like Duncan, he would have to change quite a few bad habits that he has picked up in Milwaukee but if he could do that it would be best for him. The other thing is I don't think he could do that here, Redd would have to be traded to one of those teams, because in his mind he will always be the star in Milwaukee and thats the Bucks problem.

This pretty much sums up my exact same opinion, so I think that pretty much concludes my argument.
Bogut and Yi play the right way, and we don't need superstars to be a decent team, we just need more players with that same mindset and intellect.
For those that don't notice that problem with the bucks, I dont know what can be said.

How do you know that...?
We haven't had a player on our team that has been nearly as good as Redd is since he got paid. If someone else wants to be the star or the best player on the team then why don't they... You know... Actually play like a star or a first banana and maybe Redd would defer to them?

I think history tells you that once a dog has established himself in a certain spot its tough for him to give up that territory. Redd doesn't appear to care what his teammates think based on comments alot have made on there way out, its just my opinion that it often takes a change of venue for a player to change his attitude.

I understand your thinking.
A guy like Paul Pierce didn't seem to have any problem with it though.

Yeah, I still don't think one can assume Redd couldn't refer to a better player IF a better player was actually brought into Milwaukee. But right now, Redd is the best player, and he knows it. But he's not good enough to be the best player on a team that can go deep into the playoffs. And the main issue is Redd is the only piece we have that could bring in a top tier player. Now if we would want to keep Redd somehow has our 2nd player, we need to somehow dump contracts like Gadz and Simmons, or trade Mo.

One small example that redd won't be able to do that here.
I was at the game at home against the bobcats.
Yi is absolutely dominating, hitting every shot he takes, however in the second half redd starts launching tough shot after tough shot. Luckily that night those tough shots were falling, and as we all know he had a chance to get Yi the ball for his 30th point but just held onto it to get those free throws he wanted.
Yi also could have scored alot more in that game, but unlike redd he just take smart shots and doesn't mind passing up shots to continue moving the ball so someone else can get an easier look.
