The coy media **** is infuriating. If they’re scared to tell us what happened then don’t chastise anyone for being angry at the Bucks.
The Milwaukee Bucks are NBA Champions.

He has a history of doing shady sh**.....still think it was the Bucks though
He could have that history, but that still doesn't mean that he'd leak it. At least not for that purpose. He could do it under the table without potentially burning bridges with the Bucks and Kings like that. Bogdan isn't his only client.
Didn’t he screw over San Antonio with 1of the Morris twins? I also had read a couple other examples that I didn’t care enough of to remember

Yeah Marcus backed out of the spurs deal last year, the Morris brothers are known scumbags though so that might not have been all the agents doing.xTitan wrote:humanrefutation wrote:xTitan wrote:He has a history of doing shady sh**.....still think it was the Bucks though

How about Lopez, DDV, Wilson, and a S&T Brown or Connoughton for Bogdan and Bjelica?
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Re: Bucks Bogdan Bogdanovic Boondoggle
Getting Jrue wasn’t even on my radar heading into this week. I was hoping for two of Bogdan, schroder, dinwiddie, CP3, oladipo, Harris, white. If we got CP3 it was likely we couldn’t really get another guy, so maybe that never really fit.
We overpayed for jrue, but that deal was fine if we were getting a good deal in Bogdan IMO. Them packaged together is a super charged version of the 2019 team, and was more than anything I was hoping for from this offseason. I was ecstatic. They’d be excellent. And I think between midds, jrue, and bogdan, bogdan would be the one most likely to give us some hope of having a good player next to Giannis 4 years from now.
Without Bogdan our team now looks substantially worse and there aren’t very many good free agents available, nor do we have assets to make substantial trades. Bogdan was only a possible deal because he was an RFA who wanted out and supposedly wanted us. This was a royal **** up. I’d rather have schroder/dinwiddie/white/oladipo with bogdan with a bunch of the assets still in our cupboard than jrue by himself. These next few days are going to be tough.
Hopefully they can pull something off, but this feels like a huge loss to me. Jrue is still a damn good player and I’ll be excited to see him in Milwaukee, but I’m pretty gutted.

I don't love Midds at all, but hard pass. Midds is perfect if we can get Bog.

Don't forget Bijelica was going to play for the Sixers until he and his agent decided "playing in Europe" was a better career move. Days later he signs for the Kings. This guy only has a handful of NBA players as his clients and hasn't been around for super long so he might be burning a lot of trust with GMs early on in his career. Agents have a lot of leverage but this is becoming a bad pattern for him and might cost his clients in the long run

Hell yeah but Sac isn't parting with Fox and I think you have to add more to even out the S&T. Wet dream trade tho.

If we cant get an actual second superstar then trading Middleton is dumb.

Re: Bucks Bogdan Bogdanovic Boondoggle
all of this would've been moot if they could've traded for bogdan at the deadline last year

Yep. Then you have him as an RFA and you just match the offer sheet and go into the tax.

100% a systemic problem. I don't want to downplay by characterizing it as a clown show, but that's partly what it is. Lack of professionalism. It's pervasive in the Bucks culture.

On the agent topic, if the NBA actually wanted to stop early contract negotiations and tampering the best way would be heavy punishment for the agents involved. Thats really the only way to stop it.

It really just comes from one half of the ownership - the Lasrys love to see good press about themselves. It happened with Jason Kidd, it happened with Greg Monroe, it happened with the GM search a few years ago with the Zanik ****, and it's happened this year again with the "post-season meeting between Giannis, Horst and ownership" and then again with this Bogdanovic debacle. Whether its Alex or Marc enabling him, the guys love to see their luxury plaything franchise in the news (and if their efforts can be publicized, so much the better).

TD75 wrote:There are two very disappointing aspects in this situation.
1) People keep on looking at the wrong thing regarding the Bogdan situation.
It is not just about the shooting (btw Bogdan is a better shooter than DDV, plain and simple). It is mainly about the playmaking. The Bucks' biggest issue has been the playmaking. Wasted possessions, dribbling into traffic, overusage of Giannis etc. DDV does nothing to solve this.
You know how you break the wall teams are building to stop Giannis? Firstly with playmaking and secondarily with good shooting. You need to make the players that try to setup the wall uncertain on where/how to set it up, so you need to move the ball and win some 1v1s.
In my opinion, the Bogdan trade would have made the Bucks much much better in this aspect and much better overall.
None of the other options discussed (Harris/DDV etc) offer the same in this aspect.
2) There is a certain point when mistakes that are repeated and amateurish in nature need to stop. When people keep trying to minimize problematic situations, the result is what you get with the Bogdan situation right now.
At this point in time anyway, Bogdan is far superior of a player than Ddv. There is no comparison.

I think so too. I also think we’re gonna make another big splash for a player no one is even talking about.we’re going to be better than last year!!

Absolutely nothing is going on after our deal was canceled and the investigation started.
In the first hour of the off season I predict like 10 deal announcements and ofc zero tampering involved unless they decide to postpone it for a few days just to pretend nothing was happening prior of Friday..
