Yeah he's already been out of office for over a year. So he shouldn't have to worry about political fall out. You'd think he'd be able to find some kind of loop hole, god knows other people find them all the time.

The Bucks have enough resources to at least get his parents a work visa, they could be "Player Advisors" if it came down to it. It just doesn't seem like much of a problem if they haven't done it yet.

To me, it seems for now like they have a Bucks intern following him around on his off days. Weird.

That seems like a good idea but my guess is it'd be viewed by the league as a circumvention of the salary cap (if the Bucks paid them). I do wonder if Giannis couldn't just set up a LLC and salary them himself. It's not like he wasn't going to give them a lot of money anyway.

He has no friends here. His family isn't able to join him here. He's probably homesick and depressed.

Imagine how his game improves when he's comfortable in Milwaukee with family and friends.

lmao

Thought his little brother was here?
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

He's in Delaware. You thought Milwaukee's depressing? Try Newark, Delaware.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Make his mom his manager and his younger brother an assistant.

Are you talking about his bro in the NBDL? Isn't that his older brother?

My mistake. No idea where his younger brother is. Thought he was in HS in MKE, right?

If you're of college age, Newark is actually a ton of fun. Who thinks Milwaukee is depressing? I think it would be awesome, but I've never been there.

He has a younger brother set to be at a MKE suburb highschool I believe. I'm not sure if he's here already or waiting to come over.

I'd assume he is waiting for his mom to get a visa. Don't see how he'd be able to come here before her.

You may or may not have. Jennings had his mom/brother with him I believe. Either way, he is not you and you aren't him. Clearly he is very close with his family and feels lonely in a totally different culture. He will survive but it would be in the Bucks' best interest to arrange for his family to get here sooner rather than later. You'd think that any NBA owner could arrange for that, given their power and connections. When you realize your owner is a (former) U.S. Senator on top of that, it doesn't make much sense.

Has he said he's lonely or are you just making an assumption?

I might have seen it elsewhere too, but at least here: http://www.brewhoop.com/2013/12/4/51748 ... rom-greece

My life in America: I prefer to spend most of the hours with my teammates, because I am bored alone at home. It is nice before, during, and after the workouts. We are having a nice time as a team. I feel part of the Bucks family. They all embraced me and I like that very much. When, finally, I have to go home, then I usually play Playstation. I bought a PS4 just for the 2K14. And of course I'm playing myself, and it's so much fun. Other than that, I go to the movies or for a dinner. Also, I speak every day with my family in Greece, either by phone or Skype. I miss my parents and my brothers, but there is nothing I can do so I am slowly adjusting.

Thanasis is his older brother. He has two younger brothers, who along with his family were supposed to move to Milwaukee.

On top of it, the climate for immigrant Greek families of color isn't exactly ideal at the moment. The kid obviously wants to provide a better life for his family, and if the Bucks can help him do that, they should.

Maybe his parents don't wanna come over yet. They probably see our weather forecasts and say "Screw that, son. See you in May".

Hell, if I had the choice and my soon to be rich son was sending me cash I'd just stay in Greece and eat a **** ton of botargo. Vacation to see lovely Wisconsin every June or whatever.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
