Balance of probabilities. We aren't likely to get a better piece in the draft than Bledsoe. Lin's the guy you really don't want. He can really boost a bad team as primary ball handler while not being good enough to elevate the team to be worth it iMO.

Bledsoe please. It won't be immediate, but I expect some big things from the Bledsoe, Giannis, Parker trio.

Giannis in any sort of respectable role does that for us anyways.

LMAO! Bledsoe reminds Gery of Otis Birdsong, former Kansas City King. He also spelled the first name wrong and called him a power forward. He really outdid himself on this tweet. FU Gery!

Man, if we were awarded a d-league team in Green Bay/Madison, I'd bet your head would explode.

Cinematographer's too if we drafted Kristaps Porzingis next year.

I'd love that so hard.

I didn't watch enough of phoenix to know for sure, but didn't Bledsoe play as more of a 2 guard next to dragic?

any stats to back up that argument?

Well, you can start here:
http://stats.nba.com/playerVsPlayer.html?PlayerID=202339&VsPlayerID=202688&MeasureType=Advanced&PerMode=PerGame

Then we can go here:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&p1=knighbr03&y1=2014&p2=bledser01&y2=2014

And then you can watch Bledsoe run the pick and roll:

Note: Also, Bogut might actually murder David Lee this year.

Vasquez – NO - ok player - but not a fit

Lin – NO - he wins us 2-4 games but isn’t long term answeer. So why?

Bledose – NO to Max Salary - NO to giving up Giannis –
Bledsoe – YES if for $42mil/3 yr tops and trade cost Knight Ersan Middleton 2015-1stLP tops.
IF contract or trade offer is inadequate I walk away. I was all for Bledsoe already months ago but many scoffed. I see the value but I would NOT offer the max or trade away Parker Giannis Sanders or Henson

Its either Bledsoe on our terms or we follow plan A – tank one more year

worthlessBucks wrote:Oddly enough, I will say I'm rather torn here. Signing Bledsoe would be fabulous, but adding another high lottery pick to go along with Parker/Giannis sounds just as good, if not better to me. Building through the draft has been my mantra, so I don't know if we should abandon that philosophy just as we're starting to do it the right way (consecutive top 5's). I'm also pondering what growth Knight could see with Kidd in charge of him. There is no guarantee that our next lottery pick is as good as Bledsoe, but Bledsoe does have injury issues that concern me. Call me Natalia Imbruglia.

If Lin comes with a first rounder, I'd probably do that. I'd actually request that the first rounder come at a much later date in the future though. I'd gamble that the Rockets could be crappy in like 5 years rather than take a for sure pick in the 25-30 range.

I like Vasquez, but he doesn't dramatically change our destiny of a lottery team. Meh, as long as the deal wasn't long or expensive, I do not care. He's a backup.

Fantastic post, very much where I am. I also enjoyed the obscure Australian pop star reference.

What is the deal with Bledsoe's meniscus? Can he do that a 3rd time on the same knee?

Not sure. Obviously someone on the Bucks medical staff would need to vet this out thoroughly. When that injury happened, I thought he was out for the year.

But look at his game logs from March and April. Excellence abounds.

http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_ ... ic-bledsoe

They clearly didn't need to make old Bucks like excuses about him needing time to get back into the swing of things. He picked right up where he left off.

I'm slowly getting through this thread, but he can absolutely have more issues with it. How Wade's was managed was wrong (total removal as far as I know) compared to what would be done today. Essentially each op would see a little more trimmed off each time. This means that eventually his knee may end up like Wade's, but in theory would take longer/more ops.

It's a bit of a red flag, to be honest. May be something to leverage Bledsoe with if we are going to take that gamble.

You do realize a max contract is like 1 more year and a miniscule amount more more per year right?

Aside from drafting Ennis, I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but Dragic is also a free agent next summer. I am not convinced Phx would match a 4/52 type deal. Agree with PP that Bledsoe is a good gamble, at that cost anyway. If he goes down early we are likely picking top 5 again. Hornacek obviously likes to run with small guards and Knight would be a nice cheap one year replacement for them. Knight/Ilyasova/Henson would balance it out salary wise.

I dont know why anyone would be against a Lin deal since hes expiring and comes with an asset. It seems like a no brainer to me.
