I suspect Coach Missas is trash much like Katsikaris... He never coached a contender ... I think his best team ever coached that I remember is Panionios and that was about 12 years ago

Missas may be an awful coach....but no way can anyone be as bad as Katsikaris. Every single coach outclassed him in ever single game Greece played in last 3 years.

Even a coach like Zouros would have 100% guaranteed took Greece to gold in 2015 with that roster. Even if he is awful, Missas is an upgrade from Katsikaris.

Giannis probably finished the game with 18-9-2-1-1 in 19 minutes.
He was also given 10 fouls in his favour.

Sloukas reminds me if the previous PG era, he is smart, can shoot and is quick and good on D.
Calathes while hanles the ball well cant create offense for ****.
mantzaris is a fantastic defensive guard but sucks at the rest.
Papas is talented but brainless.

How the **** we went from Spanoulis,Papaloukas, Diamantidis and Zisis to this?

Because Panathinaikos owners, Panathinaikos fans, and the clown that runs Greek Basketball Federation (who is one of the major Panathinaikos figures of all time).........

decided it was a good idea to wage a fake media propaganda war against Spanoulis and Zisis after Spanoulis signed with Olympiacos. Zisis took it simply for being Spanoulis' best friend.

And rather than call for the trash to stop, most Greeks that followed the national team egged it on and bought into it.

All those fake made up stories from Panathinaikos about how they were "cancers" and "destroyed the national team", and "refused to listen to any coach" and were "horribly selfish players".......

Eventually they had enough of the ridiculous BS and quit the team each about 3-4 years too early because of it. They both had another 3-4 years of prime left, and should have been both in the team instead of players like Pappas and Calathes or Mantzaris.

They quit the team way before they should have because of the insane fake propaganda against them from Panathinaikos media.

That's how this happened, that Greece NT, which usually is one of the world's best in guard play, has become almost a complete joke at the guard position, except for Sloukas. And even Sloukas is nowhere near as good as Zisis was, and Zisis was the worst guard of the team at one time (when there was all of Diamantidis, Spanoulis, Papaloukas, Zisis).

If the Greek public would have done the right thing, and forced that Panathinaikos clown Vassilakopoulos out of the national federation, then this team would have Zisis and Spanoulis both still probably through about 2019 World Cup, or even 2020 Olympics.

It's a complete disgrace what Panathinaikos and its fake media did to Zisis and Spanoulis, and how it left the national team with a joke trash player like Calathes, as the "lead guard".

He's lost all of his athletic ability. He spent the last 3 years always injured at the end of the season, and the last 2 years being complete dead tired at the end of the season.

This last season, he could not even run at the end of the year. His body physically is complete done. He's in Juan Carlos Navarro level from a physical standpoint. He's a walking shell of the player he was 3 years ago.

Good game. Nice that it didn't go to a useless OT.

Giannis was great.

It was a good game. Expected something more from the bigs (since Bourousis was out), sadly didn't happen.

Giannis played well for a first friendly match. Sloukas was also great.
Tomorrow will be more interesting.

No I think this is 5/10 FGA.
He went 10/14 from the line missing his first two FTs when he entered the game and going 10/12 after that.
