Re: OT: Investing
I bought an olive grove in Greece. Some of those trees have been there for hundreds, maybe a thousand years, and it's **** beautiful. My sister lives nearby and will run it, which means basically finding a few guys at the village once a year to do the picking, load it all on a truck and take it to the mill, which then keeps a cut for payment and gives you the rest of the olive oil. Our family business in Greece is in organic foods so we'll just get the land and the process certified as organic, bottle and label the oil with our label, add it to the stock and sell it through existing channels. On a good year it can return up to 20% of what I paid, some years it can return next to nothing. I don't care, worst case scenario my family will cook with pretty much the best oil money can buy.
I'd recommend it to anybody but the problem with those things is that they don't have a market price, there are no agents, and usually there is nothing for sale because owners generally don't sell. You just gotta be there and wait until you hear by word of mouth that someone is thinking of selling and then go find the guy and haggle until you shake hands. I loved every minute of it and I love owning it, even though I only see it once a year.

Re: OT: Investing
My buddy did it for me, I'm new to this. I'm not sure which exchange he used. I have another buddy wanting to get into ETN and the only exchange they are on is Cryptopia. He said the same thing, he's having a hard time with it. I'm going to look at it myself today and try to figure it out for him.

Your buddy will 'lose the key' when it jumps up 10,000%. You will then see photos of his new yacht on Facebook.

If anyone is up for doing research, the Yahoo Finance page has a ton of articles on crypto currency. new stuff daily.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

When I researched it about a month ago. The guy who tried talking me into bitcoin years ago told me his predictions:
By the end of November it would be around $1.00.
By the end of the year around $3.00
By the end of the first quarter of 2018 $5.00
By the end of 2018 over $300.00
He also predicts due to it's qualities it will overtake bitcoin at some time. So far everything he told me about BTC was correct, except he assumed it peaked at a few thousand when it continued to grow and so far his projections for XRP have been spot on.
It also helps that the CEO for Ripple has been making the media rounds and people are starting to see it's possibilities.

I use Bittrex.
Another Ripple plug.
FYI, Bittrex isn't accepting new users right now.

It's not going to take until the end of the first quarter to get to 5. It's going to go to 10 as soon as it hits coinbase. There's going to be a buying frenzy when the userbase sees the price per token vs the others.

I finally got Tier 1 verified but still waiting on Tier 2 for Kraken. I sent all my LTC and BTC from Coinbase to Kraken in hopes that I could trade them both for XRP, but it looks like that can't be done and I need to wait until I'm Tier 2 verified to buy XRP with USD. Laaaame.

Finally decided to take the plunge and just got hit with a 72 hour delay in transferring my ETH from Coinbase to Binance. Is this normal?

Not usually, but with XRP being in such heavy demand I can believe it.
