Why would Kilpatrick be happy about Kidd getting fired?

Does anyone actually think they're going to install a permanent head coach before the end of this season?
That not only significantly limits their options, but any new coach would have to install new schemes on the fly.

Kidd was playing Jason Terry ahead of him.

I'm happy for all the people who desperately wanted Kidd fired.

I hope the owners will now address my concerns that Vaughn/Thon/Terry/Wilson/Telly/Delly/Henson are really bad at basketball.

Geez, i hope most of you have grabbed some pussy by now.

If that makes someone bad.. count me in :)

Just for tonight, and no game until Friday? Interesting.

I could see them going the Horst route, cheap, and keeping Prunty but I could also see some kind of "name" as coach going into the new arena.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Terry said a week or so back that if Kidd goes he goes, so let's see if he backs it up and retires. Frees up a roster spot for a desperately needed big.

If Prunty is not the interim for the remainder of the season, what’s the timeframe?

I mean, legally, could Horst/LED have had Fizdale give them a date and go “I’ll start coaching then.”

Just seems difficult to bring in a brand new coach midway thru the season without some extensive (prior) discussions with said coach.

He's the interim coach until they hire a new one.

Assistant Joe Prunty will coach the team Monday night against the Phoenix Suns and will be named interim coach, sources tell Wojnarowski.

Re: Kilpatrick's tweet - it's totally plausible (maybe even likely) that the players have known about this for several hours at this point.

Rather have a new coach named in the summer, give him the offseason and training camp, hard to make many changes in season.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
