Just came here to say **** Rich Paul after his comments about Giannis in the new ESPN article about Anthony Davis.

Why is Rich Paul even bringing up Giannis? His comments are so random.

"He's just as talented as anyone who's ever played this game," Paul says. "Six-11, makes 3s, blocks shots. I think he's one of the better passing big men in our game. In my opinion, this is what makes him different from Giannis[Antetokounmpo].

"Like, if you put Anthony Davis on that Bucks team last year, they'd be playing in the Finals. He knows how to make guys better. That's not a knock to Giannis, but that's just what [I think]."

Lots of evidence out there that Davis can bring a team to the finals.

Weird then how he never seemed to make any of his Pelicans teammates better when they struggled to win 40-games every season. But hey, I'm sure that was just *insert non-comparable KG in Minnesota excuse here*.

Worst bench in the NBA. Starters rule though.

How bad can your bench be when you got the Lord and Savior locking down the backup 5?

That's going to be a fierce battle between him and Kyle O'Quinn. #championship

Davis is definitely more offensively gifted than Giannis. Anthony Davis is also more offensively skilled than Shaq, Duncan, Pippen, Paul Pierce, Kawhi Leonard, Bill Russell, Kareem -- you get my point.

Teaming him with LeBron is going to be great for him, though.

The "we should trade for Kyle O'Quinn" era was a great era for Bucks RealGM.

Those are almost comical comments from Paul in regards to AD. I know it's his guy and all, but he's using the exact main critique on AD (besides injuries) and trying to act like it's actually a proven positive of him.

Also, ran through the last couple pages. Couldn't believe someone is actually vehemently arguing the Bucks bench is bad when I actually think we're going to have a problem in having too many good players to find minutes for. Are we still possibly missing the true top level talent to get over the top in the playoffs, sure that's a fair discussion. But the depth on the roster is just seemingly overwhelming and something we've never seen before in mke

ETA based on later comments: I interpreted Paul's comments as meaning swapping AD into Giannis's spot. Not combining them
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

There's gonna be an incredible amount of Anthony Davis confirmation bias when the Lakers inevitably win ~50 games and maybe advance a round or two in the playoffs. You gotta know that the media is already licking their chops at that narrative:

"AD didn't know how to win in New Orleans, but now that he's been mentored by Lebron, he's learned how to win, and now he's surpassed him as the best player on the planet".

I think it’s been pretty obvious for a while that Lebron and Giannis don’t jell very well. That subtle jab from Paul just exemplifies their camps feelings towards guys who aren’t sycophants.

Bledsoe should tell Rich Paul to keep Gainnis’ name out of his mouth.

I think re-teaming AD with Rondo is also going to help. AD was cleaning up when Rondo was with him in New Orleans. Rondo knows how to get AD the ball in ways no point guard has ever known with Giannis. That's a difference between Giannis and AD. Both extremely talented, but I think Giannis is often forced to create his offense more than AD is.

Probably just being passive aggressive towards Giannis because LeBron hates and is jealous of him.

Frankly I agree that if you put AD on last year's Bucks, they'd have played in (and won!) the Finals. I don't see it as a knock on Giannis at all. Any team would improve if you added Anthony Davis to it. I'm also still open to adding Anthony Davis in the future after that locker room collapses under the weight of Dwight's farts.

I have missed basketball so much! Can't wait to watch games that count. I think this is Milwaukee' best chance at a title. I hope management and Bud are all in. Its now or probably never to hoist the Larry O trophy.

Heck, if you add probably any top-10 player last year to the Bucks team, they probably play in and win the Finals. Or if Fred Van Vleet is merely a god instead of THE SUPREME OMNIPOTENT FORCE he was.

Just wondering, are you saying AD+Giannis wins the finals? I think almost everybody would agree with that. I interpreted Rich Paul’s comment as Giannis and AD swapping teams.

Yeah this comment read as "if they had AD instead of Giannis" not Giannis and AD on the same team.

Seems silly to think about trading them. Much better to have them both.

I’m with B2TW on this one. Totally think Rich Paul meant it as a “AD instead of Giannis”, otherwise why would he say “Thats not a knack on Giannis” about it?
