I'm most excited for Animal Crossing, followed by Doom Eternal. To be totally honest I have no idea what other notable launches are coming up.

Persona 5 Royal, FFVII Remake...those two alone are going to suck up all my free time

Nioh 2 gets a 9 from IGN. Almost universal praise on other sites. This game looks like a dream (nightmare?) come true. I can't wait until Friday.

I wish I could get into games like Nioh. Dying is so dejecting to me.

Back into POE this Friday. Excited for Delirium. Not sure what my starter will be, but I'll probably ride this out until FF7R releases. TBD on Animal Crossing...

I will say that if you're on the fence with Nioh 2 but didn't play Nioh 1, it sounds like you're in for an almost impossible task.

ETA: So I went back and loaded up my first ever Nioh character that I hadn't played in two years. Some of of the numbers made me LOL.

Total Hours: 404
Level: 150
Enemies killed: 5073
Times dying: 1433 (lol)
Sold items: 3214
Disassembled items: 2692
Amrita (cash) lost in death: 51,265,653 (that's a lot)
Amrita obtained: 485,111,734

And then I had an additional 100 hours spread across three other characters.

Good god, Nioh 2 is dominate my life. Self-isolation FTW!

I'm curious how much the combat in Nioh1 carries over to Nioh2. I dabbled in 1 but honestly didn't really devote the time it takes to REALLY master the combat enough to get full appreciate it. I think now that there is a sequel, I'm more likely to do that because the time devotion is takes to git gud would be more worthwhile if it translates.

Unless I’m mistaken, no one posted about the Baldur’s Gate 3 demo from PAX East. Really impressed as someone who loved both the Divinity: Original Sin games and has played a lot of D&D 5E.

Anybody give COD Warzone a go? Played a couple of matches last night, pretty fun.

I have been very good about being judicious with my game purchases over the last two years, only buying what I know I will play. That said, damn am I tempted to just buy everything now that I'm working from home for the foreseeable future during the pandemic. Borderlands 3 base game is only $30 on Steam and $50 with the season pass, Doom Eternal is out Friday, Ori and the Will of the Wisps recently game out, and I already have Animal Crossing: New Horizons showing up on Friday (if nothing affects the shipment). Seems like a great time to stock up.

I'm excited as a D:OS fan, but not as much as a BG fan. BG2 is maybe my favorite game of all time, and I have to say I'm a little bummed that it's being fit into the D:OS mold. I love the D:OS mold and I will still play and I presume love this game, but it doesn't seem like it's going to "feel" like a BG game.

We'll see. That's just my initial impression. Long way to go, and again, I'm excited nonetheless.

Also, I think I'm gonna get Animal Crossing. Why not. That coupon expires soon and nothing else comes out for a while on Switch that I'd want.

I don't have Baldur's Gate nostalgia, it's a series I knew was important and revered but one that missed me. But I can understand what you mean. I feel like Pillars of Eternity is about as close to a BG2 sequel we'll get. Don't think many games outside the indie scene can pull off the Infinity Engine style of RPG anymore.

Never played Animal Crossing before, but my girlfriend is HYPE and I said I'd play with her. While I'm not sure if it's going to be my kind of thing, I think a zen game like it might be what I need given the state of the world.

I'm SUPER excited for Baldur's Gate. Baldur's Gate, Diablo and Neverwinter Nights is my childhood.

I'm a really good Nioh player, and I needed to summon help multiple times to get through the first, basic introductory level. I had to cheese sub-bosses. This is the hardest game I've ever played. God damn.

I hope you are having a good time with it because it is rough to get through.

I don't know this for a fact, but it seems like the difficulty is so much higher this time around because the options for summoning players and relics are so abundant. I got into a roll last night once I started playing with a relic.

Ugh, okay. This is making me really want to break quarantine protocol and venture over to wherever I can buy a PS4.

I wish you didn't get punished so much in Nioh 2 for experimenting with your builds. It's pretty inexpensive to respec once but it gets hella expensive quick. I'd played maybe ten hours rolling with dual hatchets and doing well. I kill a high level remnant and get a ridiculous odochi and after a couple hours come to find out I'm really enjoying that, except I'd already dumped in hours worth of skill points into a hatchet build. That's nothing to say of whether you want to have a magic or ninjitsu build or if I land on another one of the 10 weapons and suddenly decide I'd love to use that. Ugh.

Disclaimer that I have no idea how it works as I never tried it. I think it might just auto attack for you.

No idea if my Animal Crossing copy is going to arrive on time with Amazon diverting resources to pandemic essential items (got a delay until Tuesday, but it’s ostensibly back on track for today). Decided screw it and immediately bought Doom Eternal, because I need to be distracted by something.
