Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - No Politics
Magic reddit is talking about a local writer who thinks ORL and DAL could be working on a deal centered around KP for Vucevic and Gordon. Let's jump in that and send out DJW + Craig for Bamba.

Jrue / DDV
Ross / Forbes
Khris / Pat / Thanasis
Giannis / Portis
Kleber / Bamba

I'd take Bane over Melton but would totally be against it anyway. Unless Clarke was in that.

Donte, DJW and Craig to Houston for Stering, House, and our ‘22 pick back.

And why would Houston do that? We send out two non rotation players and get back two rotation players along with salary savings and a second. Sure.

Think you overlooked Donte's inclusion, and it being a 1st back not a 2nd. I think Houston would jump all over this, and that the Bucks wouldn't touch it.

Yeah I overlooked Donte. Apologies. Clearly not awake yet.

I think the point of the Magic dealing Vucevic is to open a spot for Bamba. They just finally realized that he's really good.

Looking at it for Orlando and thinking to next year, that trade make quite a bit of sense
Porzingis and Johnson's expiring for Vuc and Gordon, they move on from Fournier and then have the ability to go after someone like Lonzo Ball in free agency. If they acquired Ball the length of this team would be crazy and they would all be on a similar timeline.
Bamba 7'11" wingspan 22 yrs
Porzingis 7'6" ws 25 yrs
Isaac 7'1" ws 23 yrs
Fultz 6'9" ws 22 yrs
Lonzo Ball 6"9 ws 23 yrs

Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

I'm not sure I've even seen a worse era for trade ideas on this board or jsonline in 15+ years. It's not even a knock on posters, but this is what happens when you put all your chips on the table and back yourselves into a corner. They have no assets to upgrade and they can't take a step backwards after going all-in the way they did. It's ride or die time with this team. God I hate that expression.
I'd like to clear a little salary but even that's hard to do without creating a gaping hole in the lineup, like being one injury away from starting Thanasis, Pat, or Craig.

I keep looking at Troy Brown Jr and I really think he is the kind of move that makes sense for this team. His defense and playmaking combined with his length would make him a decent rotation player. He needs to continue to improve his shooting but his BB iQ seems to be very high. If the Wizards are willing to swap DJW and a 2nd for him, I think it may be a wise move and quite possibly one of the more realistic targets that the Bucks have. If they can throw in Craig for Len, that would be all the better.

This take is so disrespectful to the legacy of MilwaulkeeBucksBackOnTop I don’t even know what to say. He would regularly explain that we were a (post New York era) Steve Francis away from contending. Or that Julius Hodge “was a knucklehead, but everything this team needs.”

If nothing else materializes, then sure. I still think they have their eyes on someone like Wright or Satoransky, and then we'd need DJWs contact to complete the deal.

Draft Maurice Linton! But there were lots of good trade ideas too, and a lot of worthy debate. When Bogut, Sanders, or Redd is your only above average player, you can argue about whether they should trade him to tank even harder instead of wasting his peak years. When Yi, Jennings, or Jabari is still a young prospect, you can debate whether the hype is warranted and argue about whether his value is at its highest while he still has that "potential" sheen. You have trade idea currency.
There's just not much flexibility right now. The trades that help the team seem unrealistic, and trades for the future obviously aren't going to happen either.

I agree, and Delon Wright is my 1st choice as a target. The Troy Brown Jr move would allow them to possibly send DJA and Craig to Houston for Tucker. I do think Tucker is done however but would feel better about trading for him if they were also to acquire someone like TBJ.

For all his faults P.J. Tucker isn’t the kind of guy who would take sitting out games in protest lightly.
The Rockets unreasonably insisting on trade value like Donte in return would explain it.
Even if Houston would send us our 2022 first back as part of the deal idk if it’d be worth it.

Not a strong argument.
i wasnt suggesting it was a strong argument...only that it was debateable.
but.....the mere possibility of us debateably giving up the two best players in a 5 player deal makes the deal crap. that would be the larger point
