Grayson this year versus Robinson last year. Robinson got 18M per year for 5 years whereas Grayson's extension is 9.4M per year for 2 years.

There's nothing stopping them from picking up a placeholder big off the street, which is something that I'm still surprised they haven't done with an open roster spot.

Them trying to save a buck now could end up costing them a whole lot more in the future from the extra wear and tear that Giannis has to take. Thon would literally be better than nothing. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money. Did they not regain the tax money from the playoff run?

10 days? are those a thing right now?

We can sign someone to a non guaranteed deal and just cut him in 10 days. Won't happen, ownership is penny pinchers.

Feels like we're on the verge of a major reorganization from the Pelicans. Anybody see anybody they want?

I want Herb Jones. Pelicans have been bad but he looks like LRMAM to me. Bring him in.

I want JV. Seems like a natural evolution from Brook. Now I don't want to give up much besides Brook so it's never going to happen, but he's definitely someone to look at as a Brook successor.

Josh Hart seems like a natural PJ replacement type guy. Wing who can play up a position with grit. Obviously, more offensive upside. Not sure what we can offer though.

Hard to match, too. Like we can send out Pat but that kinda defeats the purpose.

Herb was the guy I wanted before we traded our pick so I’d definitely be happy to have him but I imagine he’s probably a keeper for them.

Sadly that ship has sailed. Probably could’ve had him in the offseason but he’s finally getting ample time to show his stuff. If we had a first to trade maybe but I don’t think that’s enough.

I wanted us to somehow get Josh Hart in the Jrue deal, and I'd still happily take him. I don't dislike Donte, but with how Grayson has looked, I'd part with him if we can make it work. As noted though it would be a tough match, as Hart's already on his second contract and Donte's is 8M shy.

Bagley could be interesting. Probably not worth it at his current contract though.

DDV will have little to no trade value until he comes back and shows he's healthy and productive. He's played 66.5% of games in his 3+ years and that number will keep going down until he's back next year. He's missed a full season (80 games).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

And Robinson's numbers are down quite a bit so far this year. Maybe the emergence of Herro has affected him, I don't know.
