Doc fills the "former player" requirement. :blank:

I will keep the eternal flame of the Bud cult alight forever idc what anybody says, he's by far the best man for the job and IMO the only guy you could have a reasonable expectations of salvaging this season on the fly PLUS the team is already paying him.

Barkley. I know we want HC experience and not another rookie HC but man that would be fun.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

There is no excitement here about Doc. The excitement is about canning Griffin.

Any excitement about canning Griff immediately flies out the window if Doc Rivers is the replacement. And there have certainly been ppl advocating for him, there’s a poll on the board specifically for who you’d rather have between the 2. lol. They’re both absolute trash bags.

Completely disagree with the bolded.

Big thing to keep in mind with any new coach is they’re not going to be happy coming into a situation where all their preferred assistants are not available

I never believed Giannis handpicked the coach. I think they talked and he liked what he was talking about which he said to Horst. If Horst then made the decision to hire him, it's his fault alone. Giannis would have no problem no matter which coach we picked.

Good on the Bucks for failing fast at least!

Didn't get Nurse but did get Giannis to extend.

Nurse saw something he didn't like. Something that had nothing to do with Griffin.

Whoever they hire. It better be just for this season.

I wouldn't hate Doc or any other names mentioned. Need that Championship though.

Ok in, but he needs a defensive coordinator then because....

While I’d prefer Atkinson or almost anyone else to Doc, Doc will still be a million times better than Grief.

Doc had a top five D with JJ Reddick starting. Doc has a ring that proves he can get out of the way of talented players. Doc is respected by officials.

Like him or not, he’s got the best resume out there of available dudes. And he really only needs to fix the D and be willing to situationally substitute at the end of games. The starters already sorted out the offense themselves.

And again, blaming Doc for Harden/Embiid choking and Simmons being scared to shoot is wild.

I would pay $200 to sit in on the discussions surrounding the pros and cons of firing him. Like high level analysis of everything. That'd be awesome.

Just keep Prunty if you guys are thinking of the rest of the year as an audition, they're not going to bring in Doc Rivers on a multiyear deal just to **** him a few months later. Do you believe in Doc as HC for the next 3 years? If not, stick with Prunty and live to see another day

Hire Steve Fisher. It worked once.

"Hey, we are paying you to do nothing. What'd you say you come on back and give us something for that money" - I'm sure Bud would be all over that..

I agree with this. Will Bud answer the call? Will Horst be willing to go back to him? Will Giannis entertain it when he was clearly upset he wasn’t put on Jimmy?

Hoping the new coach demands we trade KM for some Atlanta wing players
