With Jalen Johnson out for the year, I wonder if the Hawks rekindle their past interest in Bobby Portis.

The Hawks do not own their pick this year, so they have no incentive to tank.

The Hawks could also use a reserve PG, and Delon had a good run there previously

Lets just say the Bucks make a major move. If you guys had to guess, would it come soon or better odds of that splash coming on the day of the deadline, next week Thursday...?

It's absolutely not hate. It is a recognition that we have defensive issues in the backcourt with him, and that he's 34 years old and his game can fade out at any time.

This is where I advocate to see if the Kings would be stupid and trade Dame for Fox and Keegan. Fox is averaging 25/5/6, just turned 27 and has been the heart of a Kings team that is 24-22 in the West with a positive DIFF. Fox can win.

Then if Vivek is panacing, you get him to add Keegan Murray to the deal and suddenly we've got one of the brighter young 3 and D guys.

It completely resets the Giannis timeline. But some of you are still star-struck by Dame's logo 3's.

He's had defensive lapses.. especially early on in the year. But recently I've been happy with his positioning. Portland was shooting with Dame and Rollins right in their face and making them. That's going to happen during an NBA season. Yeah it would be nice if he were a 6'7 switching type guard but for what he is, he's been tough to get around as of late.

Bucks are top 5 in defense since the 2-8 start. The offense is a bigger issue than the defense. Blaming Dame at all is kind of ridiculous given the unavailability and ineffectiveness of Middleton. That is the issue that has prevented us from moving to a top 5-6 team on offense.

They aren't trading Dame guys. Just stop with the nonsense. It's going to be Middleton or just a smaller move with Pat to get under the 2nd apron.

Fox isn’t the best player on Sacramento, though.

That’s Sabonis. Their success is because he turned himself into a poor-man’s Jokic with everything running through him.

Khris, Bobby and Pat for either Jimmy (Preferred) or Lavine is likely what is going to happen. If these two are guys are who we trade for, a good negotiator would not have to include draft picks. I would not give up the 31 first for either of these guys for sure.

What players would you guys trade the 31 first for that we realistically could get?

We’d need a big afterwards, and I’d prefer one that can defend like a big.

I’d absolutely move that pick for Mark Williams.

I don't know if we are just one player away from the Title. So many holes. One big hole is given up too many offensive boards. Where do we rank and how is that fixed?

If you were Charlotte, wouldn't you want multiple 1sts? I think that would be fair

Charlotte’s not moving Mark Williams, that’s a pipe dream. Duran would be more realistic but that also isn’t happening.

There are very few true centers on the market and these young guys will require much better bargaining chips than we have to play with.

Unlikely, just having myself a good time:

MKE: Herb Jones, Charles Bassey
SAC: Dejounte Murray, Bobby Portis, Chris Paul, MarJon Beauchamp
SAS: De'Aaron Fox
NOP: Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins, Pat Connaughton, Picks via SAS, MKE '31 1st

Lillard / Rollins
Green / Trent
Jones / Jackson
Giannis / Middleton
Lopez / Bassey

*Didn't realize Herb was hurt. Would need to be close to returning.

Jones tore his labrum. He's out indefinitely. Generally that's a multiple month injury.

Bucks need to do something, because if we play a team where Lopez can’t be on the court, it can’t just be Giannis at the 5. Midds might very well win us a series but don’t think you can count on him any longer.

If that is Butler even on a rental, that might be worth it, but got to do something about another mobile big that is capable of playing 15 mpg or so.

MKE in Butler, Love, Isaac
ORL in Lopez, ?, Marjon
MIA in Midds, Portis
4th Pat

That MKE team wins a championship in my opinion.

PG Dame, Rollins, Wright (unless his salary is needed)
SG Green, Ajax, AJJ
SF Butler, Trent
PF Giannis, Smith, Liv (vet buy out?)
C Isaac, Love, (vet buy out?)

Defensive powerhouse and plenty of shooting assuming you stagger those starters. Make Jimmy your de facto 6th man leading the second unit. I’d also feel fine with Butler playing crunch time minutes at the 4, Dame, Ajax, Trent, Butler, Giannis to close games.

The best thing about Love is you know if you put him out there in the playoffs, he will hurt someone by bridging them midair.

I wish we had some concrete idea as to what Khris' value is on the market. It is really unclear what Khris + Bobby gets you, or what adding in the 2031 unprotected first gets you. I do think that we need to have an actual 3rd star player, and not the boom bust slow on defense star we are seeing from Khris right now. Unfortunately we will 100% absolutely need a big, so trading all of our chips for just Jimmy or Lavine is kind of terrifying in its own right.

Lavine (50M) >>> Khris + Brook (50M combined)
How is that for an answer ?

Well, it is an answer.

I just can’t see us moving Bobby and Khris and only getting one guy back. Bobby still fills a big role on this team. You would need to bring in another backup PF/C to replace his minutes.

Somebody here name a trade Horst has made we all hated. Name a trade the majority hated.

Hes done well.

Theres several weve gone mfin over the moon for and most were like ok ok thats aight i can be down.

I trust him. They dont all work out...they never all do.... but he hasnt took a swung ever that i can recall we were collectively like wtf.

Now...as an adjunct. Our trade proposals i want to add one more thing. Normally any one of our proposals falls into the category of.... "that sucks" ....or... thats "unrealistic".

It is really rare when one of us suggests a deal that the board is universally thinking....."great deal for us and all involved would agree".

So...we just dont know. But...in Horst i personally trust. Hes been generally pretty damn good.

Middleton needs to probably go. I think everybody finally realizes that. We need a trade we all unite behind. I think Horst going to find it and make it....or he wont trade him at all. And that now scares me worse remarkably. Hate his body is so effed up. But come on... its clear
