Easy decision as far as I'm concerned. He can keep Hammond on as director of scouting if he wants...

Wasn't aware those were the only two options. I'd take 90% of the posters on this board over Hammond.

It's the options that are in front of us at the moment.

A 3-5 year rebuild is going to be pretty tough without first round picks. Hope to god we aren't giving them up.

The mob mentality here is funny. Let's calm our titties till we see what is really going on. Even if Kidd takes on POBO it's unfathomable to believe his first order of business is not to fire Hambone and Drew.

Maybe they are bringing Kidd in so Sanders doesn't look so bad.

I don't see how hiring Kidd as the president of operations for the Bucks is:

a. Giving Kidd whatever he wants, or
b. A sign that Hammond or Drew stay on

I don't mind Kidd in a role with this team, as long as it's ONE role.

I realize Kidd is a money / power hungry dude with a massive ego, but that's a lot of successful people. Obviously knows the game of basketball as good or better than anyone out there. I'd prefer him in a coaching position, but it seems he's not going to be happy with just that.

President of operations is as high up as a guy like Kidd could ever get (outside of owning a team, which I doubt he'd ever be able to do).

Yeah it's a risk, but if Lasry has a great relationship with Kidd, count me as excited.

As long as he stays in ONE position within the organization.....

I'm getting the vibe that this team is more of a personal toy for the owners. LesEdens deserve the benefit of the doubt, but if a first-rounder is dealt it'll be nearly indefensible.

Count me in as someone who would like to see him coach us, like it less if he was coach/POBO and even less if he was just POBO and Drew/Hammond stayed. Although, that wouldn't seem likely at all. Why would Kidd keep those guys unless part of the deal of him joining is that they stay this year. Anyways, as for compensation hopefully we can give them Ilyasova instead of a 1st but if so definitely have to be protected don't want to give up a top 5 pick for Kidd. If he will be coach we probably should be interviewing more guys first but if it's just for POBO we likely interviewed a handful of guys already so it's not like we are just going with the 1st guy we see. It's going to be a big deal to the media that we didn't tell Hammond or Drew but honestly if they didn't think their jobs were in jeopardy after last year's showing and with Hammond the last 6-7 years showing then I don't feel sorry for them.

You know what's even better than what is happening on our end:

Mark Jackson is the rumored replacement on Brooklyn's end. This makes me smile. A dinosaur version of KG, Paul Pierce, and Mark Jackson as coach. Hell, let's make him a player-coach.

I don't see anyway that could happen. Even for a good friend, Lasry knows it would be insane for a 15-win team to give up a 1st round pick.

The Net's new insider is awesome:

Why? So one of those ESPN rats take the credit. I rather share the news with the fans here. ESPN, and the rest of the media have a hard for the heat. They only care about James.

Yeah but we don't have an impact on it either way. I'd take Kidd over those clowns too, but they set the bar incredibly though.
