yeah if a decent asset was coming with Lin it's a good deal. If he plays well you might be able to trade him at the deadline if a team suffers some back court injuries. Be nice to come away with a couple future assets.

Fake twitter is the WORST right now. I don't know how many fake Woj accounts I've seen being retweeted by national guys. It sucks.

I skipped most of the topic, repetitive, but imo; Bledsoe, Knight, Giannis, Parker, Sanders for a starting lineup is a almost a dream come true. This team would be deadly in years to come, not to mention next year if they got on the same page with Jason Kidd's system.

That's what I read a couple days ago.

I think Lin adds enough wins to take the Bucks out of contention for a high lotto spot. I don't think Vasquez does, but it doesn't mean I want to spend any kind of money on the guy.

Bledsoe means we have our core and we get smart with our lineups and hope like hell the young guys develop.

Bucks looking at Lin, Bledsoe and Vasquez

Bledsoe makes this team legit going forward if Kidd is any kind of a coach. Plus, if Kidd had anything to do with the interest in Bledsoe color me intrigued

Jason Kidd comes in and immediately the Bucks are rumored to be looking at "floor general" type PG's. Good. Not nuts about Lin or Vazquez, but if they're cheap and sharing the role with Wolters, sign me up. Anything but Brandon Knight at this point. If we could somehow land Bledsoe to go with Giannis, Parker, Sanders, look out Easter Conference. That would be crazy.

Why not? He would be a great guard for us. I'm sure we would have to give up Knight, but, if not, is have no problem running with Knight at the 2.

Sounds like Cavs are trying to move Jack with a pick(s) also.

Didn't Kidd want to trade for him last year?

Bledsoe to me is the home run I've been hoping for. An ultra fast rebuild landing a defensive minded all-star caliber 24 year old PG. I would definitely take the risk and throw a max deal at him. A young big 3 in the making with guys like Sanders, Knight and Middleton representing your 4th, 5th and 6th best players. That's a team I would renew my season tickets for, I'll tell you that. Assuming you're willing to bank on the Giannis/Parker pairing (very early to do so of course). Buuuut....I am, so I say go for it!

We will not be getting a player the caliber of Bledsoe in next years draft.

Obviously very unlikely to happen and I think they match a max offer.

From the Raptors board:

JustWin wrote:Alot of ppl in that other thread saying we don't need Vasquez are nuts... He is a very underrated defender, and we need him in case Lowry goes down...

sca wrote:Also, his lack of D is exaggerated. Our relative DRTG was -6.6 with him on the floor last year. This isn't a coincidence. The number was -1.4, +3.0, +4.5, +4.1, +3.1, -0.9, +6.8 and +2.3 for Calderon in his Raptor years, for example. For the second time, those who think he's a defensive liability a la Bargnani and Calderon couldn't be further from the truth. He has enough of both size and quickness to bother most guards.

knickerbocker2k2 wrote:Vaz does not have physical tools to be good defensively, but somehow we gets it done. He had the best defensive rating on the team @98 PPT / 100 possession. For comparison, Lowry is at 102. Granted Lowry plays most of his minutes against starters, and teams best players, however we were not hurt with Vaz on the floor. He definitely is not a liability out there.

Losing him would be huge loss. Outside of Lowry, he is the only player who can handle the ball and create something out of nothing.

IMO if you think Bledsoe's a max player, you see if you can work something out with the Suns so you're assured of getting him. If they won't play ball, throw the max deal at them and make them match it. Then, if that doesn't work out, I think you have to break apart the roster around whatever you figure the core is to maximize flexibility and your shot at another top pick next year.

If you don't think Bledsoe's a max player, proceed directly to step 3.

As for Vazquez, I don't think we could get him on the kind of deal that would make him an asset in a trade at deadline time. If we could, I'd be ok with it. I'd want to explore other, more potentially impactful uses for that cap space first.

If they'll definitely match, why didn't they already give him that contract?
