No thanks.
I actually want to keep Mayo.
For me Ersan and Dudley are the 2 guys I'd trade if there were any takers. I will move Knight too but he has more value and requires a better return.

would give up next years #1 top 3 protected for Lawson.(that's all the protection that pick would need for me to do it)
and I would sign dragic 4/60
ideally I would do both of these moves together if humanly possible.

I don't watch enough Denver games, but I've always loved Lawson. We'd probably have one of the fastest teams on the break in the NBA.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Have been thinking about him too. Thoughts on his PG skills?
Something is clearly not working in Denver. If Lawson is one of the guys in open revolt against Brian Shaw he could be on the outs.
Shaw: "So, no, I don't hate the roster. What I hate is having to beg guys to play. That simple. That shouldn't be a part of what coaching should be."
Not sure what it'd take to get him. Nuggets roster is a mess...
What we call an embarrassment of riches in Phoenix's backcourt we call a logjam in Denver's frontcourt. The difference is method versus madness.
Kroenke conveys an awareness of all this but dismisses any suggestion that the Nuggets would be better off holding a fire sale. Quite the contrary, the Nuggets have pledged to their fans they're in it to win. And if they circle the drain this season, the NBA draft is always there as salvation for wreckage.

Re: Trade Targets
I don't know why people think the Clippers could be bad by 2017. Even if Paul declines (he'll still only be 32), Blake is a certified MVP candidate and Deandre Jordan is a DPOTY level talent, and I bet they find a way to re-sign him.
You're left with essentially betting that two of those three have significant injuries in 2017 that causes them to miss a lot of games. I don't think that's a safe bet.
I'd just as soon take the lotto protection and be happy with a pick in the 20-30 range rather than give up anything of value to remove it.

Re: Trade Targets
I'm concerned Knight's trade value might be peaking.
Hopefully he keeps improving but each game we play gets closer to when a decision has to be made on extending him.
Also as Jabari and Giannis improve Knight's total number of shots will be going down (well at least they should...), not to mention how long he generally controls the ball.
Could see Knight's numbers being at a high point Evan Turner-style based on the offensive void we had starting the season.

I like Lawson but no way I give up this year's first for a player that is 27 currently.

Let's be honest with ourselves. Most of these trade ideas in this thread are pipe dreams (Rondo, Smart, Stauskas, MCW, etc.).
I just presented a few buy-low options. Even Ross is a long shot (I doubt TOR gives him up for anything less than a 1st round pick + a player).
The list of actual young players still on their rookie deals that are actually available is most likely pretty slim. Those guys tend to be valuable for a reason.
Look...
This isn't RealGM because we want realistic trade targets, okay? Your list is pathetic. Either start suggesting we trade for high upside rookies that we have no chance of trading for and/or superstars... or just get out, okay?

Re: Trade Targets
Also am concerned that OJ Mayo is at peak trade value too.
He had a great start in Dallas a few years ago as well before collapsing after Dirk came back from injury.
Thinking about what a Mayo + Knight or Middleton package could yield.

OJ is at peak value in Feb 2016 to a playoff team needing a SG.
It just might be that the Bucks are the team that will value him the most.
I'm riding high off these last few victories, but I can honestly say that worrying about peak value for trading guys is the furthest thing from my mind. It would be great to have some guys here for awhile that actually gel and we can build a program around.
Chemistry is a funny and fickle thing....you don't know how to make it, but you know when you got it.
Right now, we got it.

Re: Trade Targets
I honestly doubt we make any trades if we are still playing this well around the deadline. Maybe we swap around some guys like Wolters/Marshall/Henson or something... but I wouldn't think we get rid of any of the major minute guys.

Probably not entirely true.
While Ersan may be untradable for an actual asset, I am will to be Dudley could be moved fairly easily.
Either way I get what you're saying. Who wants these 2 scrubs? Not many teams.

Agree chemistry is fickle. Which is why I'm not sure we can keep everyone happy as Giannis and Parker deserve more and more time with the ball in their hands. For the short term when we start playing better teams, much less over the long term.
Sure it may not be pressing at the moment. None of us are in the locker room so we don't know what's really going on in this department.
Just keeping my eyes on the long term prize. Winning now is real fun and good chemistry can help our young players develop...but chemistry also can collapse quickly if it's not sustainable.
Knight chucking for a contract or Mayo rediscovering sizzler are absolutely possibilities.
So if the goal is building a base of players to gel for a while and build a program around, I could see them being the most likely to be on the outs as we target a trade to acquire something better for us in that vein.

Rockets could use Ersan with no timetable for Jones' return.
TPE for Ersan?

- Terrence Ross, Ray McAllum, Glen Rice Jr., Kosta Koufos, and Kyle O'Quinn are guys that I think are reasonable trade targets.
- Hell no to Biyombo. He's undersized and more importantly, he's terrible.
That is a down right pathetic list of targets considering who we would be giving up. The only player I would trade for on that list would be Ross, and even he projects to be a low end starter at best.
Sorry there isn't a plethora of all-star players available to trade for?

I think the issue is the presumption that we need young players.
We already have the youngest team in the league, and our two cornerstone pieces in Giannis and Jabari. We should be looking to acquire players that compliment those two. I believe Knight and Sanders compliment Giannis and Jabari very well, and all we really need is a marksman 3pt shooter and a low post scorer.
We have every single piece in house to build a winning team. I get the disgust this forum has due to Kohl over the past 25-30 years, but things have clearly changed, and changed in a hurry. Trading for a player that is 27-28 yrs old is not a bad thing, what the issue is is when you overpay these mediocre players and give them full length contracts as well. I have the utmost faith that does not ever happen again.

That's honestly probably not even close to getting Lawson IMO.
Oh it wasn't just that of course. 2015 1st plus Henson and Middleton for Lawson and filler or something along those lines.
