Bringing someone up from the herd maybe.

I don't mean a move to balance out the numbers. We need an actual starting caliber center. Monroe was that, when healthy, even though he came off the bench. Thon and John are borderline rotation players right now.

So Horst is Kaiser Soze, if one is able to make productive Kevin Spacey comparisons at this point.

Ah, figured the timeline would be too short to see him tonight.

Okay, now that my first dream trade has happened, I shall begin wishing for Delly + Henson (or Telly) for Tristan Thompson.

Doubt it. And the amazing thing? We still have our rotation players available.

I should have known something was up when Mirza got burn at center last game for no reason.

Called it. Knew nobody was offering anything better than an expiring and a late first. Good job by Horst not caving in to fake demand.

I'm fine with buying low on Okafor, but he can't rebound or defend to save his life; he wouldn't exactly be helping our biggest weaknesses right now.

We've got some cap room - we could bring in a Festus Ezeli, Joel Anthony, etc. https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/current_free_agents

Or we'll see some more Center Giannis.

Just like with all things in this life....there is a good and bad here.....and in our case, an ugly:

The Good:
The team desperately needed a playmaker on offense to take some pressure away from Giannis. Khris can't do it...and Brogdon, while being a nice facilitator, isn't a playmaker. Now there is a guy who can break down defenses, is quick, plays solid defense...and can create his own shot. Bucks were on the top of his list of destinations...so there is a perfect fit really. The Bucks were able to get him without giving up any of the "core" pieces that nobody was really ready to just give away, and are part of the long-term plan that the regime has been building here.

The Bad:
Regardless of what you think, first round picks are still great assets. You can't hit a home run if you don't get an at-bat. They're even more valuable in cities/markets like Milwaukee which isn't a free-agent destination. Furthermore, Monroe's expiring contract is a huge asset that might've been ore valuable the closer we got to the deadline. Also, in giving up Monroe our bench just went from bad to worse. Our rebounding just went from horrible, to non-existent. For all of Monroe's weaknesses....he was an elite closer, and can get tough buckets. Yes, he is a dying breed...but that breed still has value in tight games when you need to close out the opponent.

The Ugly:
None of this matters cuz Kidd is still the coach and sucks ass.

We need to make a move for Nerlens now. Dallas has zero need whatsoever for him, he'd certainly waive his NTC and he'd be a dream fit on this roster.

Offer DJ or Vaughn and a 2nd.

Pick is lottery protected. Also sending a 2nd rounder.

Trading Delly who still has value for a strong rebounding center is/should be our next move imo.
