I would still expect to win, but yea don't need that headache. I also didn't realize how close Orl was to them at this point. Had it in my head that Orl was basically locked into the 8.

How is the information you get in other countries? For a few weeks now I have some questions, but I can't find answers.
In Holland the first Corana patients visited Northern-Italy 2 or 3 weeks ago. At the time the disease was mostly centered around Milan. I wanted to know more about the story: Where exactly were they in Italy? How did they travel (car, train or plane)? Do they have a clue where they might have been infected (remember someone coughing)? Most likely in hotel, restaurant or airport?
Were people warned if they were in the same airplane?

I work with someone who was in the north of Italy 2 weeks ago. He went skiing. At the time the nearest patient in Italy was 200 miles away. But everyone talked about the danger of 'Northern Italy'. The guy stayed home for 3 days but after that he came to work (and once coughed hard during a meeting at my desk).

I want to know how likely it is to get infected if you meet someone with the disease. And how likely is it to meet someone with the disease. I want the statistics.
And what are the ages of the people who died in Italy? How many died with bad health and high age and how many were younger and healthy?

In Holland 5 people died so far, all old and with another disease. More than 600 are tested positive. 100 of them work in hospitals. Many nurses were tested after some patients in hospitals were diagnoses with Corona...

Ncaa has canceled the tourney. Feel bad for the kids that (and there are always a few) tremendously up their draft position from the tourney play

Last time I saw stats for Italy it was a couple of days ago and they had 0 deaths under the age of 50.Vast majority was 70 and 80 plus.I would say that if you are under 60 without any respiratory illness or compromised autoimmune system you are not at risk.

*not at great risk of dying, but still very possibly at risk to be infected and pass it to others.

Which would falsely assume that the virus doesn't/can't mutate and evolve. The "I am not at risk, I am young" attitude puts others at risk.

NBA could look to resume season right into playoffs in April. I wouldn't hate that but the rust would be real on all teams.

Yes,to be clear when i say not at risk i mean it's very very low but you still need to be careful since we all have family members that are at risk.
Both my parents are in their 60s and my mother works in a hospital that has been designated exclusively for coronavirus patients. So i am worried a LOT.Not trying to downplay the severity of the situation here.

I think a lot of people are looking at COVID-19 as "it's not a big risk to my health so I'm not worried about it." Yeah that's true. Rudy Gobert is almost certainly going to be perfectly fine. But the people who are not taking proper precautions to contain this are the people spreading it to others and this thing is extremely deadly for elderly people. The more people who have the virus (even if they don't get sick by it), the more likely it is to infect an elderly person which is why it's so important that we try to contain it.

We are at over 5,000 deaths now. More people died today than any other day so far. This breaks yesterday's record which broke the previous record of two days ago. In other words, more and more people are dying every day.

Cuban was saying 7-8 regular season games before the playoffs to get the rust off.

That seems like a reasonable plan to me. Regular season is done and let's plan on starting on April 15ish or whenever playoffs were initially planned. Rust could be a problem but it's an even problem for everyone. Obviously keep assessing as that date approaches, but you'd think a whole month and this will be settled down.

I think you guys are too optimistic thinking the NBA will resume in a month.

That would be very interesting as it places Boston, Toronto, Phillu and Brooklyn on the other side of the draw from us!

I'm glad you clarified it later, but this is a really dangerous, uninformed, and incomplete characterization of what's happening.

The possibility that someone could read what you wrote and change their behavior is horrifying. Bad takes flourish everywhere constantly, but this is a time where misinformation can feed confirmation bias and end up costing lives. No more takes, we've had enough takes. Quotes from health professionals or silence, please.
