I'm so relieved, obviously because of the long term magnitude of this versus the absolute nightmare scenario of him leaving for nothing. But this brings me so much more excitement for this year. We had NO SHOT this year with this lingering. My optimism for this year just skyrocketed.

Again, its up to the organization to surround THE MVP OF THE ENTIRE LEAGUE with proper fitting complimentary pieces, and coaches to put those pieces in the right places. Giannis doesn't need to "take the next step" hes at the freaking pinnacle! He just needs to carry the regular season excellence to the post season.

He has a 60+ win team around him, bro. The organization has done its part.

Time for Bud to step up. Bud needs to start making ANY adjustments for us to win. Coaching staff needs to evolve.

Hope Bud gets the message if it wasn't already received. Adapt or leave, win or go home. It's mind-boggling that this man has been allowed to stand his ground and put on his one-act play over and over.

Remember when Giannis signed the supermax? Amazing.

If you don't live and die with every minor Bucks detail, let alone the biggest one in franchise history, you'll probably have a bad time here. Bye.

The fact that we've got more time to find a right mix of pieces/coaches around Giannis is such a huge relief.

When are we going to hear about this new house with the indoor basketball court?
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Relieved we get to avoid the Holiday trade being historic-level bad.

It still might not be good.

But having a few more seasons to compete for a chip is totally different than entering a post-Giannis abyss draft pick-free.

Don't do this. Don't conflate. There is documentary evidence of Giannis sulking, being aloof and moody. No one (that I know of) said it meant he was being moody because he was leaving. As a matter of fact, some mentioned he's been known to sulk after missing free throws and/or starting games poorly.

Thank you Jeebus! The collective freak out of this board was entertaining, ridiculous, but completely reasonable.

Let's get it, indeed!

Damn, bro, you got me. Can you break those numbers down for me? How many wins did Giannis account for? How many did the supporting cast? If they truly had a "60+ win team around him" why would they turn over the majority of the roster?

On The Jump, their video package for Giannis as they were discussing his extension was just Giannis missing shots vs Toronto.

The news on Giannis is great. The next move has to be getting a coach who knows how to vary his offense and defense. Get a coach that knows how to utilize all his players. Post up Jhrue, Giannis, Brook and Khris. Have your guards move, like Miami. On defense, forget the drop defense against good shooting teams. Go to a help defense, like the Lakers or a switching man defense. Try some zone. None of this will happen with Bud. And another year will be gone.

I don't know what that's funny to me. But for Giannis, little things like that will make that first title that much sweeter.

A long time coming for my 1st post. Been lurking since the JS board days. I'm gonna make sweet love to my wife tonight and I shall scream, "Giannis!"
