From a draft guide in 2017
Hartenstein has a dismal vertical leap (25.5 inches) but he has a nose and desire for the basketball around the rim.

Early scouting reports on Hartenstein are weird to look back on. At 18-19 years old everyone thought he projected as a ground bound, stretch-5 type dude with shooting touch. He added a ton of strength and turned into the complete opposite. Amari’s already 23 so I don’t think he has the same kind of athletic growth potential.

I actually love what the Suns have been able to do here these last few days despite being the most asset starved team in the league. Completely re-tooling around Booker with cheap, young talent. But sure, “we can’t make any moves because we don’t have anything to trade” or something…

I mean to do so they traded a guy who was better than Devin Booker.

I too, am jealous that the Suns added young, cheap talent to develop. Granted they got there by an ugly divorce with a rail thin bald top 30 player. But I actually agree, I wish we had found a way to get a pick or two in the top 35.

They tossed two trash firsts for Mark Williams that weren’t even from the KD trade and it’s not like we don’t have access to two 2nd round picks and cash. I have zero faith that Horst would ever be this proactive and creative.

Hartenstein was 20 when he was drafted and I would agree that he has added some strength but a ton seems dramatic, he is a generally ground player with a career block % that is nearly half of what Amari’s is but I would still consider both ground bound and not stretch players. Not sure why age is an issue since Hartenstein didn’t crack 20mpg until he was 24 years old. Merely observation not character assassination

Dude, we literally traded a 2030 2nd and cash for the 36th pick in 2023.

I’m here for the countdown to pick 47 and hoping for Tyrese Proctor.

And will watch him get selected at pick 46, at which point ESPN will move to a commercial.

I'm sorry, when I see you getting mad about the Bucks not doing something I thought you were getting mad about something that mattered.

yeah, a two way contract is extremely complex. the mechanism isn't built into the name or anything. so glad they are going to review that.

I’m guessing Chaz Lanier is the pick at 47 if he is there.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
