Kidd had his DUI incident and supposedly doesn't drink anymore, depending on whether the latter is true it might be a good fit between the two beyond the court.

I think its pretty evident Lawson still drinks...

Right and Kidd once had a drinking problem. He can empathize, offer sympathy and possibly help him if they have a good relationship otherwise.

I'd say pull the trigger on Lawson. Then we can finally come to terms with Knight being a short full time SG!!!

Lawson, Knight, Giannis, Parker and the best Center Option someone can come up with not being Zaza

Does Lawson have a history of drinking related issues? Or is this an isolated incident? I have plenty of friends with a single DUI that aren't drunks. It can happen to anyone. Well, not me because I've been taking cabs and buses for a decade now. But if you don't live in a decent sized city, you're usually driving to the bar. Anyway, this is where a savvy GM takes advantage of a situation. If Lawson has had other drinking related problems, Kidd is the perfect coach. If he hasn't, even better, and hopefully one lapse in judgement, combined with Denver's current standing as an organization, lowers the asking price.

He was busted for underage drinking and driving in college.

Pull the trigger. Get Lawson at point with Knight at the 2.

defense would be awful, backcourt of midgets and parker at the 3 or 4. Knight still needs the ball in his hands a lot to get his PPG.

Everybody keeps saying this yet Knights defensive metrics improve when he covers SG's.

Lawson may not be elite, but neither is most of our roster, and we still are a top 10 defense.

Here is a cheeky trade idea. Won't happen, but I would consider throwing in Clippers 1st. (Might get grilled for it)

I don't see why Denver would make that deal. They aren't morons.

I don't think Nikola Mirotic has a role here in Chicago when all of their guys are right. He played two minutes tonight. He'd be a perfect fit in Kidd's system as a 4/3.

He'll have the minutes when Pau's gone.

Don't see them moving him.

I think Chicago would do Henson/Dudley/2015 1st for Mirotic. I would too, especially if we can figure out a way to get another first from someone else.

Would Portland deal for Ersan as a stopgap while LMA is out?

The one million question is: Do you think anyone inside the Bucks organization would try a trade looking for a young asset or securing the PO? Hammond excluded.
No hay banda.

Portland does need to make a move or risk falling way back in the west. Henson might be more appealing to them because he could help at the 4 and 5.

But who would you get back in return? It seems like the Bucks need a 5 worse than the Blazers.
