I have Vue and I think you can DVR anything you want. I'm not totally sure of the capacity or storage time, but I just select some shows I want to have on demand and Vue records them as they air. The other fantastic thing about Vue is that you can watch it on up to 5 devices at once. That was a big downfall for Sling (as well as lack of sports channels like B1G) when I was using it. I've said it before, but the only thing Vue needs to improve, in my opinion, is their program/channel guide. It's about as bad as it gets right now, but you do get used to it after a while.

Do you get Brewers/Bucks games on your Vue?

I got Vue after Bucks season and it's probably been at least 3-5 years since I watched even 10 seconds of a Brewers game on TV. So I'm not sure, but I think I remember reading that FSWI was available on Vue, or that it would be in the near future. I'll try to double check if I think of it tonight.

If you could check, that would be awesome. I've heard many conflicting things about that for Madison folks.

So this doesn't really help, but I do have a "Fox Sports Net" in addition to FS1 and FS2. So I would think its a local network but its hard to tell with no Bucks or Brewers games on the schedule.

Yeah, that's what I've read, but I'm not sure if FSN is just FSWI here. Thanks for checking, though.

I'm in Milwaukee and tried a 7 day subscription of Vue about a month ago. They only had the generic Fox Sports channel so no regional sports. Hoping they get that fixed soon as Vue is an awesome service otherwise.

Only have chromebook and no cable along with living in WI. Any legal way to watch the bucks this season(outside of buying cable/satellite)

Bummer, I just upgraded my Vue account for Fox sports expecting to have my Bucks games covered but it looks like it's not the local FSN. Hopefully the kodi stream looks nice.

Now that Roku has FS Wisconsin I was looking to maybe go that route. Can someone break down the costs for me if starting from scratch. I will need internet.

Roku has Fox Sports Wisconsin? As in you don't need a cable subscription to watch it? Didnt think Roku worked like that.

When I tried to watch the Bucks using FoxSports Go this weekend the channel wasn't available. I was able to watch the Brewers all year, so if the Bucks are suddenly off the air, I'm going to be really pissed.

You need the subscription still for FS Wisconsin. As I'm assuming most people do, if you can find a friend with some sort of standard cable package, ask for the login and hope they aren't stingy. Far as I know there isn't a limit on users/devices.

I like my roku a lot and would definitely suggest it for those making the move. Good internet is critical though.

I had no issues. However in the past I was confronted with this same problem. Usually logging out and logging back in resolved it, if you didn't attempt that already.

I had the same issue when I pulled up the app. Sign out. Sign it. Good to go. Use it on Chromecast.

I use the Roku 4. For $25 blue orange package I get Fox Sports Wisconsin on Sling TV. I am in Wausau so I am not blacked out. With this package you don"t get Espn. Bye Bye $120 DTV bill. Roku 4 is for 4k TVs otherwise Roku 2 is fine for everything else and can be had for free if you pay for Sling TV for three months.

My contract is up with DirecTV and overall its been alright, but I'm seriously considering cutting the cord as live sports becomes a little more accessible. Let me know any thoughts...

So for equipment we have a Roku 3 and Roku stick. That would cover our main 2 TVs in living room and basement. I would probably try to get that Roku 2 through SlingTV to cover our bedroom. I think I would invest in a ChannelMaster for DVR purposes. Our kitchen and garage TV would just be over the air, or maybe pick up a Roku stick if cheap.

I think with SlingTV I would be able to get Bucks (FSWI), Brewers (FSWI), and Marquette (FS1, FSWI). Packers would always be available over the air and I saw today that I get Red Zone Channel free (season ticket holder) via NFL app, which I assume I can pull via ROKU. Packers/NFL and Bucks/NBA Playoffs are my biggest needs. NCAA Tourney would be up there, but can pull via NCAA app I believe. Brewers I would like, but could live without with summer being busy and what not. Live sports is my biggest concern.

My wife's biggest concern is DVR. I believe a ChannelMaster could cover all of the over the air stations. We would have to check it out, but between Hulu and SlingTV, alot of the pay content would be covered. I know Hulu sometimes only keeps 5 new episodes for some shows, that would be a concern.

We also get Amazon Prime for movies and such. Plus alot of free apps for movies like Crackle, Tubi, etc.

If we kept Hulu and paid for SlingTV, even with a couple package adds, we could get the bill to around $50 or under which 50% less than we pay now a month. It seems intriguing from price and practiability. I do worry about blackouts, connection dropping/lagging, etc. Nothing worse than having people over and/or wanting to see something, and the TV has bad connection.

Is there a certain internet speed needed to make things more reliable? We have our internet (24mbps I believe)/router/modem through AT&T at the moment.

So you can only use Sling on 1 device at a time? If so that would be a deal breaker for my situation. Also it says we would get FSNorth so I'm not 100% sure if that means just the general FS channel and no Brewers/Bucks. If so, definitely a deal breaker.

When I had Sling it was only one device at a time. They may have changed it since then, I haven't been keeping up with Sling.

As far as I know, Sling Blue has multistreaming (3 streams I believe), Orange is only 1 stream, this is due to an agreement with ESPN, which blue doesn't have.

Good deal. If I were to get, I would get the Blue package. If it is 3 that would be sufficient.
