Everyone is so happy until we find out Kidd has the reigns to draft whoever he wants now. :reporter:

- I remember giving John Henson and Larry Sanders horrendous extensions
- I remember trading down in the first round 12 spots (and passing on Klay and KL) for the Stephan Jackson's services
- I remember the Corey Maggette experience
- I remember trading for Monte Ellis over Curry
- I remember giving Miles Plumlee a 4 year 52 mil dollar deal
- I remember Joe Alexander
- I remember giving a 1st round pick for Vasquez
- I remember trading down in the 1st round and Livingston for the corpse of Dalembert
- I remember failing to win 50 games in 9 years
- I remember not winning a playoff series in 9 years (I think only the Kings have a longer streak)

Man, Hammond still had another year to clean up his predecessor's mistakes. Not fair.

Let's see if Zanik can operate a phone and a checkbook better than Hammy.

EDIT: Also heard additional details that really aren't new to us. But that Kidd is a psycho behind the scenes. Power hungry. Apparently tried to send Giannis home the last game of the season for playing poorly or something? Hopefully he doesn't dominate Zanik...

Kudos for the insider info. Love it when the board gets nuggets.

Doesn't really matter that he won't be around for the draft. I'm guessing the guy we pick at #17 was going to be a "Zanik pick" whether Hammond had stayed or not. The succession plan had been in place since last offseason.

Solid argument.
However, a list of achievements would make for a complete analysis. Am I wrong to want to slide blame to coaches/owners for some of these? I suppose the Bucks stops with the GM.
I admit to being a terrible judge of talent and having minimal knowledge of the game of basketball.

How crazy would it be if Orlando now hired Kidd?

I really wish WSSP would actually do some research before basically crapping on a guy they know nothing about...

Stun to learn that insight.

Several of us hardliners from day 1 about Kidd feared his presence would dominate the organization, and not for the greater good.

He has never left a team on good standing, be it as player or coach. He has shown no understanding of adding talent yet his personality demands he call the shots.

I said from the first day we hired Kidd that until he's gone, this organization will not take the next step because he will be the Herb Kohl of coaches meddling where he has no business.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

That's pretty much their business model. Talk aimlessly about a topic they don't know much about but have some former local athletes as hosts to sooth things over. It's a joke.

Yeah none of this Zanik-replacing-Hammond thing is surprising at all. We all knew it was happening. Its the "Hammond signs 5-year deal to be Orlando's GM" thing that caught me a bit off guard here.
