no it isn't. Do you even know what motion offense is? 1 guy being a non 3 shooter doesn't matter, especially when he provides absurd spacing by virtue of his paint presence. Giannis spaces the court better than a random 40% spot shooter because of that.

I'm not seeing how his "presence in the paint" provides spacing for motion offense. You mean his post up fadeaways and iso driving layups?

The only person I can name like Giannis is Ben Simmons. And they put him at point guard and surrounded him with 3 point wing gunners, including Embiid and Covington and Redick.
Giannis is playing off ball now after the trade, pick and roll (mixed results), pick and pop (turning down shots).

Could you post an example of the type of motion offense you're talking about.

Can't sustain anything
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think our defensive scheme also tends to encourage lazy 1-on-1 defense because you're always looking for help.

It's amazing how much easier this game is when you play D and move the ball on O

If you watch the jazz, they're "motion offense" is they come down, run a pick and pop with a stretch 4 (Jerebko), pick and roll with a 5 and that gets everyone moving. Joe Ingles just shot a fadeaway corner 3 after keeping the ball on 1 side.
Its just "pick and roll" and "pick and pop". Since Giannis is an "on ball" player and not a stretch 4, you don't have that "pick and pop" that creates motion. The Jazz literally ran it everytime down with Jerebko. Now that Sefalosha (non shooter at the stretch 4) is in you're going to see the Jazz offense stall and get ugly.
