Honestly, I'm not sure I would want to or need to upgrade for where he is if I was in his situation. My first thought is maybe buy another place downtown, but there is like 5 places for sale over $1m in Milwaukee. Maybe he would want to buy like 4 condos in the high-rise on prospect, but you still have to deal with using the elevator with pawns and it isn't even that close to the arena.

Jabari may have had the right idea building the bachelor pad 3 blocks from the arena.

There's two pieces:

1. ESPN's yearly season predictions. 57% of their "expert panel" believe Giannis will play out the final year of his deal and hit free agency. 39% believe he'll sign before the 21st. 4% believe Milwaukee will trade him. Not sure if voting for him to sign a mid-season extension was an option for them, but if it was, nobody voted for it.

Other Bucks related things: Giannis (14% of the 1st place votes) finished 3rd in their MVP voting behind Luka (36%) and LeBron (29%).

61% believe Milwaukee will win the East. Brooklyn was 2nd at 21%. 7% believe Milwaukee will win the title (2nd highest behind the Lakers at 86%).

2. Article basically just listing a bunch of different examples of Giannis being super competitive with the basic point of the article being that he's just super competitive about everything in life.

I think its either sign by 12/21 or he's leaving. I don't see him signing during the season, as he won't have playoffs to evaluate yet. I also don't believe he wants the contract questions/pressure all year if he is leaning towards staying. If he's leaning towards staying, something is happening in the next six days. Otherwise, I will be penciling him in as gone. The one exception would be if Bucks won it all, which I don't see happening if his contract situation is looming the entire year.

I feel like the lack of fans at Fiserv has impacted Giannis's joy out there. I also think it would be harder to turn down an extension with the crowd cheering you on.

His mannerisms weren't the same in last night's game. Could be due to a meaningless pre-season game with a bunch of new teammates. But he (and the whole team) lacked the energy and camaraderie we've seen in year's past.

Assuming all of these tight lipped Bucks FO, Giannis buying a house with a NDA, PP dark web, Shafty, Voodoo intel is accurate. What is the effing purpose to being so secretive about this? A lot of people think you are going to sign it anyway, and some think you are not.

The motive to keep this quiet for this long makes no sense to me.

I kind of get the feeling it's more of a family situation than the need to win a championship tomorrow. Perhaps Giannis and his close family want to settle down in warmer climates like California or Florida and he's just going to give it one last go with the Bucks.

I think in the sports fandom universe, it went quickly from airport watching, to airplane watching, to house hunting / sibling/kid school watching. This is obviously in addition to the social networks stalking. Very fascinating, I wonder what the next level of looking for the next hint is. Mortgage applications? Large furniture / Electronics purchases? Utility/Cable connections/disconnects?

I'm buying it all by the way.

I don't doubt that that happens so much as I doubt that the people on Reddit actually know anything (for starters, we already have the guy that originally posted and this commenter contradicting each other) and also don't think shopping for a house in Milwaukee necessarily means he's staying in Milwaukee. He wants to get into real estate, it's a great time to buy real estate, and he knows the market in Milwaukee so it could just as easily be an investment as much as anything else. I'd be buying up all sorts of real estate right now if I had the money to do so.

I believe the tea leaves still point to him signing. If that is incorrect, and he doesn't sign, I am 100% in favor of working on the best deal we can to reload talent and picks. Build around Jrue.
