Who do we think the Knicks’ top trade targets are at the draft?

If Jrue is available that seems pretty ideal for Thibs. However a lot of the appeal for starting Quickley here would be pairing him with Holiday if there is some other way to get him (minus the other assets they’d be sending for a Jrue package).

BUCKS OUT: Jrue Holiday
BUCKS IN : A. Simmons/ D. Daniels/ Herb Jones/ A Pelicans first round pick

I love Jrue, but this feels a bit too optimistic. :)

And if it is even possible why not just trade Jrue for Simmons/#3? Unless you are just really high on Daniels which I am not.

Give me Simmons/Brandon Miller or Simmons/Scoot instead.

Man, let's revive that Haliburton rumor.

Towns, OG, Lillard. It's possible that they could see Jrue as a cheaper upgrade, in that they could trade for him but still have assets leftover to pursue a star.

Messing around with a framework where Knicks get Jrue, Pacers get Bobby and Barrett, and Bucks get Quickley and Hali. All teams have the salary fill to make this happen.

That works if the Pacers are braindead. Barrett is neutral value at best right now, imo.

If Pels trade Zion for Scoot, I would definitely call them for a McCollum/Bobby swap. CJ fills our hole next to Jrue, Portis will fill their starting PF hole in that scenario. Obviously Allen and Pat will have to be involved too in such a scenario and maybe a 3rd team will be needed to balance the trade. Jrue/CJ/Midds/Giannis/Brook with MarJon as 6th would be awesome.

He's a 22 year old 20 point scorer on a long term extension at around half the max. There are certain teams who will love that vs a monster extension to a guy who's struggled with health. Bobby's contract is similarly attractive. My theory is that Indy's ownership puts them in that select group.

Jrue and Myles Turner to the Blazers, #3 to the Pacers, Haliburton to the Bucks? Feels like it needs one more reliable player going to Portland -- maybe there's a Portis/Vanderbilt swap with the Lakers to loop in. But Dame/Jrue/Vando/Grant/Turner is the best starting lineup they've had since Aldridge left town, and if it doesn't work, you could trade most of those guys for value next summer.

Hell, send Quickley to Indy to ease the blow if you can sell them on Barrett and we end up with Hali. He's got the young and appropriately paid cards going for him, and the right set of eyes might see a higher ceiling.

Thinking of a Haliburton and Quickley backcourt in Milwaukee takes me places I only thought the love of a good woman could take me. This is like verbal pornography. Stop it, okay keep going..

I trust your sources!

That becomes more interesting and plausible for Indy if they get Quickley, though. Something, something:

MKE: Hali, Fournier, Theis
IND: Barrett, Portis, Quickley
NYK: Holiday

I'd still do this, of course, but as Frank implies it is less sensual.
