Giannis isn't gonna be fine with one or two "gap years" at 31 years old.

Then he's gonna be traded. Either he accepts that the Bucks are going to have a couple lean years in which he can pad his personal resume, or he'll be moved.

Kyle Kuzma at least showed that he could fit a role on a winning basketball team his first 4-years in the league. Can you really say that about Kuminga?

Giannis isn't a front office guy, though. I could see him being sold on the idea of Porzingis and Jrue as horrific as that sounds to most of us.

Those are two guys that we've heard him speak very highly about.

My preference is to trade him btw.

No disagreement, but it also has to be acknowledged that Kuminga has just turned the age the Kuzma was as a rookie. I don't see it with Kumminga, but he does have time to grow up. Rudy Gay eventually got it, but there isn't many others

There will be other deals available. The Lakers have been trying to reunite why Kuz for years

Lol I'll believe it when I see it. He's awful and the league is aware.

We (not me) spent all of last off season overvaluing our trash players assuring ourselves there were deals out there for them. I'm not doing it again.

Come on. An NBA FO recently gave up a great glue guy and exciting young prospect for him.

Kuminga at 22 years old as a 4th year player was statistically a more inefficient version of 22 year old rookie Kuzma.

Dude is just a dumb player. Non winning guy. If it hasn’t clicked by the end of year 4, seems unlikely to click.

Not even close. They have a great supporting cast. OG, Hart, and Bridges are better than everything we have. The only reason we're a similar team is because Giannis alone is so much better than Brunson and KAT.
Not even Giannis gets Brunson calls.

That's ok honestly, watching Giannis shoot free throws is so damn painful

While watching Giannis shooting free throws sucks, watching Naz Reid’s disgusting form is even worse (even if they go in)

The last thing the Bucks need is a low IQ guy. Not touching Kuminga at all.

Porzingis might not be a bad tire to kick if Lopez is gone

Kuminga reminds me of Josh Smith after he was a fun, young player.

If a smart coach couldn't get through to him, then maybe a dumb one can somehow negate him into accidental usefulness?

Moses Moody had surgery on his right thumb today. I'm much less interested in him now. He's about to have a poor offseason

Proves there might not be a dumber GM than Hotrs. Especially when you factor in the last two coaching hires.

Getting fleeced by Washington is certainly an ignominious distinction.

Knowing Horst, he'd be looking to trade our 1st in 31. If it means keeping Giannis, I'm all for it.

It's funny how polarizing Kuz/Pat for Jrue + a late 1st is. I think it's a no brainer and others think its the dumbest move possible.

Jrue gives you a solid 30mpg next season, easing more load off of Giannis then Kuzma will. Yeah we have to eat an extra 12M? in year 3 vs Kuzma but that's your argument? Jrue will really help out next year and the year after he at worst would be an overpaid 6th man. Who knows what happens in year 3, maybe he retires or maybe we trade him as an expiring. Jrue and KPJ is at least a decent enough backcourt for next year so Giannis isn't completely alone and we'd get a 1st out of it. Not to mention how great of a teammate he is, that's something that is under appreciated especially during a "gap year."

37 million would be the argument.

$14 million in year 2, $37 million in year 3, plus you've dealt a very valuable pick

We can do better dealing that pick. That starts with sending Kuzma to suckers that actually want him, like the Lakers, Mavericks, or Kings

Jrue would be playing SF for us, as Trent and Green will be a big part of our rotation.
