Bogut Injury Thread: "I may not be 100% this year" (page 21)

Not really going to listen to anything Bogut, the media, the coaches or the GM say about his injury anymore. Reports have been so conflicting it doesn't even really matter. I will judge how he looks and how effective he will be when I actually see him play.

I agree. You can put this story up against the earlier posts about him killing people in 5 on 5's at the Cousin's center. Where the truth is, we don't know.

The only thing I did take from that story is that Skiles is getting a bit antsy he doesn't have all these key guys ready for the season.

The guy is going to miss games here and there this season. This is where all our frontcourt depth is going to come in handy.

No more Gadz. No more Elson. No more Brezec. We are all out of stiffs and bums.

Finger should be fine.

Elbow has always been the worry buts sounds pretty good long term if he has 90% rom already as has been stated. I don't know how much it will restrict him in the early season, presumably will be sore/swollen post matches, may be a worry with heavy contact during matches, rather than with a limited number of shots.

I guess this does concern me a little, but did anyone expect him to really be 100% at any point this year? I know I didn't.

And it's not like we need Bogut to score 17ppg this year, we have guys who can score up and down this lineup. As long as it's just an issue of pain or discomfort, and not potential damage, this doesn't concern me all that much.

Maybe this is just the Bucks, through Bogut, putting on another mating call toward Dampier.

Telling Dampier how important he'd be here. How satisfying it'd be to get all that sweet PT.

I'm not sure I understand the motivation for bringing this up in the media unless they are somehow trying to lower other teams' expectations for Bogut? I don't know.

No where have I seen any inside info on how hot Hammond is for Dampier. If the thermometer is high, then through the media they may be telling Dampier that he'll get more chance to shine here than he thinks.

IF Dampier thinks Bogut is healthy, and Gooden is capable, then we have little to offer. If Bogut has to be restricted in PT all season long, the story is different.

not surprising at all, and of course he said may not instead of won't, he's trying to be optimistic.

he'll have nights where he's 100% and nights where it starts to bother him in the first quarter and it throws off the rest of the game. we'll just have to suffer through those nights and hope maggette and jennings are on.

Didn't he say virtually the exact same thing about his back? I swear I remember him saying he's going to be at 80% or something like that.
