Isn't it telling that Hammond wasn't there last night? The new owners of a company throw a big party to garner excitement for the upcoming draft and team and the face of the front office isn't included? He's as good as gone.

Well if he isn't making the pick, that's enough as well. His non-commentary for such a long time seemed to signal he was going before but mixed information has since trickled out. They're probably just having him stick around to get versed in where the organization has been and is currently at. Everyone in the org is privvy to information that they can use.

We'll see what actually goes down.

What was the speculation of Exum not wanting to be in MKE based on (if you can answer)?

I doubt any of these guys "want to be in MKE." Nobody is saying to their agents, "do everything you can to land me in Milwaukee." Its probably the exact opposite. As I've mentioned, nobody wanted to be drafted by the Clippers for a looooooong time. They just sold for 2 BILLION. Matt Garza, a Milwaukee Brewer, told Jeff Smardzija to "pitch his way out of Chicago." Its all about the state of the organization. I don't give a sh*t if Exum doesn't want to play here. I doubt anyone wants to play here right now. If he's the best player available player on your board when its your turn to pick, you take him. Same goes for Embiid, Wiggins, or Parker.

I just sense that Lasry knows who he wants and Edens wants to go through the process before finalizing who he wants. I don't think Parker is absolutely a lock to remain the guy. I just think that RIGHT NOW it is Embiid and Parker. No reason to believe workouts and interviews couldn't change that.

How'd you feel when this guy was still wearing purple 10 years after they changed colors?

Man, does Kohl look like Ratzenberger here. Old Pope/new Pope is actually a really good analogy to our new owners.

-Brandon Knight is not a point guard. That needs to be solved.

-Steinmiller, Walter, Burr...others....tonight and the next month are their swan song.

Probably biggest one of interest.....Hammond is not making the pick....and Drew is gone.

This whole year, from Save OurBucks, to the unintentional tank, to the ownersh change reminds me of V for Vendetta.

I guess that would make V our mystery benefactor for the Kickstarter. The Chancellor and the council are Kohl and the Cronies. The masks are SOB shirts. The failing government is the playoffs slowly fading away.

I always got the sense that Kohl holding onto the purple was a silent protest of sorts.

Does that mean Nowak's girl is Natalie Portman?

Well done Nowak.

And the random RealGM dude who nailed her.

V for Vendetta was poop. POOP!

I compare our season to when I went to see the new Godzilla movie. It was insanely awful while it was going on and I almost fell asleep a bunch of times... then when it was over I was super happy and relieved I would never have to go through that **** again.

Also, Natalie Portman is awesome.

I was thinking the same thing....but then again wasnt Steinmiller there? I really hope that he isnt in for the long haul if you follow the same logic.

Busy as hell this morning so I'm just getting around to catching up on this thread, but I have to say I'm pretty bummed about Parker being the guy, even despite all of the other awesome news. I guess my only hope now is that Cleveland somehow takes Parker #1.

Anybody else a little worried the owners may continue to meddle after they make these draft pick decisions? I am.

amazing guys! thanks for all the updates! hoping they hang out around milwaukee during the season too. would love to talk to them sometime, and alex seems like a chill dude. he seems to be right around my age, so cool that we can kind of get the scoop from that point of view.

can't be anything but giddy right now. these guys are doing everything right. i'm convinced that if these guys moved the bucks, no one on earth with the billions capable of buying this team would've kept them here. kohl may have set this franchise back for decades, but he hit the ball out of the park with this sale!

Steinmiller and Ron Walter were there. In fact, I got a round of applause from the RGMers and a big cheer when I walked in, and Steinmiller was heard asking, "who's that guy?"

I thought about it as well. My hope is that they are truthful when they said they'll let basketball people make the call and they are just relaying what they've been told. I'm just assuming those basketball people are not Hammond and co.

Hate to break it to ya, but they were probably cheering for your Wiggins jersey. :D
