I think this board is sometimes overly concerned with youth. It is not the end of the world to have one guy over the age of 30 in your starting lineup, nor is signing a 32 year old big man to a 3 year deal at 15m per going to cripple the franchise forever.

Did you watch Chandler play at the end of last year? To me it spears he is clearly in decline and you want to give him 3 years at $36mm? What are you looking to do? Chandler surely doesn't put you closer to a title.

Giannis and Parker are the guys who are going to get us closer to a title. Chandler is a clear upgrade over Zaza, and if you can get him on a short contract it makes plenty of sense.

I would look to take a flyer on cheaper alternatives maybe ajinca or javale mcgee they both give us length and shot blocking. Javale is WCS ceiling why not take a chance on him he's not a stiff and he has improved his bbiq.

No I didn't watch him except in the playoffs, but I'm not sure what you're referring to with the end of last year. His numbers certainly didn't dip at the end of the year. Statistically he had his best month in April including a couple monster games around that game. 22-15 against Portland in 25 minutes.

Also, I don't really buy into the whole "every move must be aimed at winning a title" thing. If we're not going to be tanking, which it is clear we aren't, it's okay to make moves that get us closer to 50 wins, result in postseason experience for the young guys and also a great locker room presence that can mentor them.

Also this. We aren't going to get closer to a title by signing a free agent unless LeBron suddenly decides he wants to play here. People need to understand that there is a difference between trying to get a 4 or 5 seed when your team is built around 20-23 year old core players and trying to get a 4 or 5 seed when your team is built around guys like Monta Ellis, JJ Redick, Richard Jefferson, whoever.

Warriors fan here. I pay attention to you guys on the side. Getting deandre Jordan would be a huge move for you guys. I think with a healthy Jabari and deandre could very well put you at 50 wins. It he wants to come to Milwaukee I say do it.

Let's phrase it this way, can Khris MIddleton command a 4/$64?

Bigs always get paid and the closer we get to July 1st, the more it appears to me that the new cap will result in massive overpayments of everyone.

The Knicks and Lakers have max salary slots, which we know they are going to use. Given that I think Gasol, Jordan, Wade, LeBron, Love, LMA, Brook Lopez, etc all stay with their current teams, we know those other teams with money are then going to blow their wad on 2nd tier FA's like Robin Lopez and Chandler. I think it is going to get ugly on Wednesday with the numbers we see thrown around.

Who are the teams rumored to go after R. Lopez? Typing in "Robin Lopez rumors" into google gets me this:

http://forwardcenter.net/robin-lopez-addresses-the-khloe-kardashian-rumors
“News” broke last night that reality television star Khloe Kardashian, who recently ended a relationship with rapper French Montana and was previously married to former NBA player and Sixth Man of the Year Lamar Odom, was ready to love again and that she had her heart set on Trail Blazers center Robin Lopez. Khloe has since denied the report, but Lopez had been suspiciously silent about the rumor

I used to be on the RoLo train too but the more I look at him, I'm just not sure he is that much of an upgrade over Zaza and Henson to ever be worth the money. He does hit his ft's and get some blocks but outside of that, his advanced stats are not that impressive. His rebounding sucks, he can't pass, his rpm is garbage, his win score is barely better than zaza. Why should we spend 10+ million on him to add maybe one win to our season record. He just doesn't make sense. Right now I'm all in on DJ and Tyson. Outside of those two, I think I'm standing pat and waiting for a better option to use my cap space.

Chandler and O'Quinn. If KO keeps working on getting his fouls down he can round into a very nice starter.

Do the cabs now have room for a max salary with love and James opting out? Do they go after Jordan and then resign love and James? F this league if that's what they are pulling

I was specifically told NO on Lopez, not what they're looking for at this point. What I was told also makes me think we don't really consider Jordan an option either because it wouldn't fit the mold. Value, short-term deals at C, and a DEEP roster is what it boiled down to. Not even sure if Chandler fits that but the agent thing makes me think we have an inside track to him.

Thanks for the info. What was the explanation for the Vasquez trade? It's hard to understand.

Yes that explanation was GV is great value and when the season starts you're going to say 'holy **** the Bucks are deep! Also said don't overvalue what a late first round pick is actually worth.

Don't shoot the messenger lol

Thanks, but wow they're delusional. Dumping Ersan who's better than GV (or at least the same as) for cap space and then giving up two picks even if it's a late first (who knows if LAC is an 8th seed in 2017) and 2nd is great value?

I know it's Gery, but he has Knight signing a 5 year/$70million deal with Phoenix.

http://journaltimes.com/sports/basketball/bucks-beat-big-pay-day-awaits-knight/article_c97bc847-b9ca-5960-b335-cfa72b30c05a.html

Knight, whom the Milwaukee Bucks traded to the Phoenix Suns in February in a multiple-team deal, appears on the brink of signing a lucrative long-term contract to remain with the Suns.

I’ve been told by an NBA official that Knight, who’ll become a restricted free agent on July 1, will sign a five-year, $70 million contract with the Suns.

They let Bledsoe go out and find a deal but they're going to cave and just give Knight that deal? I'll believe it when I see it.

I believe it trwi7. I live in Phoenix and everyone around the team talked like resigning knight was a forgone conclusion for the past couple weeks. Don't think they wanted a repeat of last year and they needed to agree to this before 7/1 so that they could keep his small cap hold while they chase other fas.

They love knight. I'm not sold but hoping for the best. I think he COULD be good in their system but since he got hurt shortly after the trade it's an unknown.
