i know it's lottery protected. still, you can't hit a home run if you don't get a chance to take a swing.

You can also hit into a triple play by swinging as well. Vaughn, Wilson, and possibly thon would be our triple play

Bledsoe comes with the defensive intensity he was know for it could be a game changer for the defense. A legit stopper at PG is so important

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

I'm fine with buying low on Okafor, but he can't rebound or defend to save his life; he wouldn't exactly be helping our biggest weaknesses right now.

I'd take a flier on him, he's only 21 and has got the tools of the guy we're looking for. Would much rather take a chance on him than sign a Jake Voschul or whoever type scrub body to fill the hole.

Agreed. If all it cost was like a 2nd round pick or Rashad Vaughn or something, I'm definitely down to add him to the rotation.

But in terms of getting a C that can really help us, guys like Noel, RoLo, Tristan Thompson, maybe even Biyombo, would be better fits IMO.

I love it if this means Delly gets benched. Delly as he has been used has been so bad. At the same time, the coach is the one who allows him to play completely different than how he played in Cleveland. So at the end of the day, we still have to get Kidd the F out of here. Stevens would have this team vying for a title. We need to find our Stevens.

the bucks can still sign Jabari.....might have to pay the luxury tax, but that shouldn't be a concern for billionaire owners

The concern isn't next season. The concern is 3-4 years from then if we start going into the luxury tax next season. Have to keep an eye on the big picture. The last thing we want is to be forced to have a fire sale during Giannis' prime years.

Can understand some of the reservations in regards to current cap situation and roster composition, but how can you really hate this move?

The Bucks just acquired a player with actual basketball talent that apparently wants to be here. All without giving up a legitimate asset.

I don't think Festus can play anymore. That said, the trade opened up that salary slot for them to bring in a veteran either now or if/when one gets bought out after the trade deadline.

Great deal imo.
Now if we can somehow make one more trade to offload delly or henson or thon or telly(or a combination of guys) for a starting C, we'll be good.
Don't really remember when it was the last time in the last 3 yrs that i've been excited with a trade

I like the trade, but now we are extremely thin at C. I'd cut Liggins immediately and sign a big body.

A few options could be: Edy Tavares, Diamond Stone, Tiago Splitter, Kevin Seraphin, Spencer Hawes, Festus Ezeli, and Joel Anthony.

That's why I reacted that way. Kidd was a 10x All-Star PG.

fwiw the implication was I dont think Bledsoe is an 'allstar type' PG anymore. 28 with bad knees in last couple years of his contract, I don't want to resign this guy.

Totally agree with this, his agent will be real interesting to deal with moving forward

Like this trade, especially with the lottery protection.

Don't love it considering our awful center rotation (league-worst? must be) and not being able to get rid of any bad contracts..

Wonder what it might take to get just a decent defensive center? Jabari and Dellavedova?

FWIW, it's really not that bad of a situation for Moose. He goes down to Phoenix just as Wisconsin is freezing over. He's a FA after the season and can sign with a contender if he so chooses.

I don't really feel bad for him. It's a jarring move, I know, but it could be so much worse.

Agree. Also this was telegraphed for years, literally. Shouldn't be too surprising. Also: $17 million/year!
