My ticket rep, in an effort to get me to commit for the next three seasons and lock in the price, told me that when Cleveland got to their first ECF with Lebron the tickets went up 20-30% the next season. Anyone else get the same story?

Haven't heard that one. My response is the Buck went up 20% each of the past 2 seasons without the ECF.

I would be nervous for anything past 2 years. Tickets wont go up too much, but if Giannis leaves tickets are back down 60%.

I did not get that pitch, but I don't believe upper level gets offered the multi-year contracts. I'm guessing they are going to be pushing the 3 year contracts hard in the next year to cover them for 2021-22 season which would be the first post-Giannis season where sales could fall off a cliff.

And I agree with Marty, tickets are increasing regardless of team performance. Mine next year will have gone up 18% since 2016-17 and I think my number is lower than others, especially the lower level seats.

Correct - at least according to bucks.com, only lower-level seats get offered the 2 and 3 year contracts. I was expecting a big increase for next season and wasn't even going to consider renewing until I found out my upper level seats were actually going down $1/ticket. Then it was a no-brainer as it would take a lot of bad luck to not be able to get back just $23/ticket next year for games I sell.

The MKE market is very fickle. If we have an early playoff exit and don't have as good of a team next year, it won't take long before they are offering BOGO ticket offers once again. Will also be interesting to see what happens once we are awarded an All Star Game and what the STH requirements will be to guarantee tickets to the game and other events.

What section are you in? That is a good sweet spot where you don't sweat selling them for 10/each on a cold January night if demand falls next year. Its when you start sitting at 35 a ticket you really have to battle the sunk cost fallacy.

I'm a little annoyed my seats went up 20% ($25 previously) and was given any options. I'm much happier after getting my tickets and 2 more for playoffs.

I committed for this year and the next two seasons to lock in pricing. I had a feeling about this team and just took the plunge. I wanted to lock in to the length of Giannis’ contract.

I didn’t hear this from my rep but I have heard that the Cavs were making people sign 3 year commitments going into LeBrons last season. Not sure if that’s true but it would explain why their arena has still looked full in the few games I saw this season.

that's messed up. but maybe they thought it would be worth it if they got a title.

yeah, i think i'm going to do the two year thing as well. if we do make it to the finals in either year it's going to be a hell of a ride and having the ability to go to every playoff game at face value is pretty cool.

I’m in 225 (corner), aisle seats in the middle of the section. Seats were a little over $24 each this season and went down to $23 and change next year.

Agreed that there isn’t as much risk with cheaper seats as far as reselling. I’m already well in the black for this season despite going to several games myself and still having nearly all of the remaining tickets left, so even if it all falls apart next year, I’ll still easily break even over the 2 years.

Just so everyone knows, it will just be the 1st round that will stay at regular face value prices. I know we aren’t use to anything beyond that, but definitely expect ‘face value’ to increase significantly with each round of the playoffs.

For example, don’t be surprised by a 30% increase in price for round 2, 50% increase for conference finals, and 100% increase for Finals. Increases each round are pretty standard in sports now.

Where do you see the prices for each round? I can't find that info in my account. Did they send an email or is that within the account somewhere that I am missing?

Yes, it was in the playoff info email. I did not get the the full pricing for the additional ticket strips I bought though. All I know is $65/ticket for 1st round. I just kind of factored 40% increase each round.

Okay, I see it now. I also don't see any pricing beyond round 1 for the additional playoff strip.

But I did have this for info for my season seats:
Round 1: Your Member Rate ($728.00)
Round 2: " $1,008.00 "
Round 3: " $1,264.00 "
Round 4: " $1,704.00 "

Any season ticket holders heading down to the season ticket holder event tonight? It is a player discussion panel. Free light apps + soda. Players have not been announced yet. I will be making my way down after work.

Is this something you used points for or a normal event?

It was points to select the benefit of "invitation to member only events"

For some reason, this really bothered me. Some things should just come with the season tickets.

I may go. Any idea when they're announcing who it is that'll be there?
