Wouldn't be surprised to see Zora get some more on the job training for an eventual takeover when Lisa goes national.

I didn't recognize her name, but listening to her PBP calls online and she seems fine. I think she'll benefit from having Marques to work with.

They should boot Novak, though. He sucks.

Novak is the worst announcer/analyst since George Thompson for Marquette.

I am curious if they will go with Zora as the analyst on games Marques can’t do, to give her some more live game action experience. Marques did indicate on Twitter that he is planning on being back, so that’s good.

Voice and delivery are much better than Doris, imo.

I'd take no announcers with just stadium noise over Novak.

Read on Twitter

Hmm, uses "Let's go Bucks" instead of "Bucks in 6." Possible red flag.imo

I'd be pretty surprised to see Novak back after the library incident in the ever enlightened Whitefolks Bay. That's not a good look when you're employed by an NBA franchise AT ALL, especially when your owners are on the left.

Novak is easily replaceable.

Looking forward to her debut against the Heat in game 2

Sweet. Now call up Katie George and tell her she can have any job she wants and at any cost.

Think she probably likes being slobbered over by incompetent ACC Network announcers. I did like her though.

Think that Lisa seems to have a really nice cadence to her voice. One of the best parts about Jim was that his delivery was almost always perfect. Yes, he loved his statistics, but he was really good at not falling into the stats trap at the expense of talking about the game. Hopefully that legacy continues with Byington.

Also, I don't care if Novak rescued puppies from burning buildings or cured cancer. He is the least charismatic color guy I have ever heard.

You know sometimes you get the annoying guy talking to you at a sporting event? You don't even know the guy but for some reason he's there alone and he just starts talking your ear off and humble brag about his sports knowledge?

And at some point its just an annoying drone of noise and your like, when will this guy STFU! He even talks over great plays making a stupid point no one cares about.

Novak is that annoying fan you got stuck sitting next to you.

According to the JS, we've got ourselves a good news/bad news proposition:

"Byington will call games alongside analyst and former Bucks all-star Marques Johnson and Stephenson will remain as the sideline reporter. Former Marquette and Bucks player Steve Novak also will return as part of the broadcasts."

I'll still take Novak over Moncrief.

I was floored that almost every Facebook comment was positive last night, two hours after the Bucks posted it.

Thankfully they realized that Zora is nowhere near ready to be anything more than an occasional fill-in for play-by-play (if even that). Novak can GTFO. He **** sucks at his job.
