It really doesn't bother me either way. Free tickets and getting to cheer for your team is awesome regardless of where the seats are. I'm not worried about it.

To be fair, all we know is that M&I had our vuvuzela taken away at one game... Well, at least that is all I know... it lead to one of the most funny and irreverent chants of the season...

"Horn... Horn... Horn Horn Horn."

I like that one just as much as "Bibby Phone Home."

If it is truly M&I's doing, shame on them. Still, there are three other sections that are just like the one we were in last year... they didn't move us to any of them, so I don't think it is M&I's doing...

Yeah just to be clear us moving may or may not have anything to do with M&I that is just speculation. Their suite last year was behind us, for all we know the Bucks could have moved their seat to the opposite side of the arena this year and the move has nothing to do with Squad 6.

They had one game all year where their big wigs were sitting in the suite behind us and they wanted to be able to better hear the game and the Bucks had us stop blowing the vuvuzuelas for that one game. That is the only fact in the matter.

Well the other fact is that Chad decided to throw 25k in a checking account for a day to make a point :P I did find that story quite amusing.

Yes. And those are the closest seats in that section.

Me too!

I actually took out a CD at M&I a couple of weeks after that happened and the lady asked me if I'd been happy with M&I because I'd been a customer for a long time. I told her I was other than the situation with the big wigs, which I explained to her jokingly. She was actually really apologetic which made me feel bad for even brining it up...

I haven't heard any official confirmation on our end but someone did say that their ticket rep told us they were moving us there. I know at the end of last season they were strongly considering moving us there and it seemed likely, but then about halfway through the off season(the Maggette/Gooden press conference) I was talking to the head of game day operations and he made it seem like the balance had shifted back towards keeping us in the old section. I would say at this point nothing is official but it seems likely that we are moving to 208.

Someone should just call pretending they are looking to buy tix and want to be close to Squad 6...

I thought you guys would be immediately behind the hoop. These seats are awful.

Some people also need to factor in the face value for the tickets and how much financially this is a difference.

Section 212 where we were last year had a face value of $96/ticket/game.

Section 208 where we are most likely moving this year has a face value of $50/ticket/game.

They cost almost half as much so Bogut pays less out of pocket, the Bucks don't give out as much of a massive savings(the full season ticket price for the $96 tickets is $68 and $25 for the $50 tickets, Bogut paid substantially less than the $68 due to buying in bulk).

If this move is being made it is 100% purely a financial decision.

The thing is, I REALLY doubt Bogut would give a **** about paying less for tickets considering how much he loves this thing. So either the Bucks are taking over Squad 6 themselves and want to cut costs, or they've bowed down to the idiots who complained.

Can't blame the Bucks or Bogut for that.

If Andrew Bogut gave me free season tickets for the upper deck in the highest row I would still show up for as many games as I could and not be upset about it. :D

I'm sure the decision was financially motivated considering the difference between the two seats for a full-season package is $43.

If you have to be moved this is where I would move you to.

Exactly my thoughts. I won't be complaining at all. If I get asked my opinion I will voice my concerns about location and not being able to involve the crowd as much but free tickets are awesome no matter where they are.

The difference after Bogut's bulk/employee discount is factored in won't be that much. Probably more like $5-8 per seat per game difference when you factor in that Bogut got a much bigger discount last year than what is listed on the website.

Come on... Seriously?

Executives pay a bunch of money for a luxury box and are coming to games and don't want to hear horns blowing. Older people sitting around us got a little upset about it from time to time because they would prefer a quieter place to watch a game... Why does that make them idiots?

I don't blame them for being a little upset. I'll be honest, if I shelled out the money to sit in a luxury box, I wouldn't want it to be above Squad 6.

I agree that the people who get upset and then are offered equal or better seats at different parts of the arena and then refuse are just being difficult to be difficult though.

I was in Squad 6 last year. If I'm in it this year I have no problem with us being moved if that is what the Bucks, Bogut or other fans want us to do.

In all fairness the NBA is banning vuvuzuelas and horns this year so no matter where we sit those won't be an issue :P

That makes sense, but considering the Bucks can now sell those season tickets for $68 (or $96 on game day) instead of selling section 208 for $25, the are making a lot more money on the sales.

Either way, I blame it on Drew Gooden, if we didn't sign him to that contract the Bucks wouldn't need the extra money. :P

It's a sporting event, not a freaking library. If people go to these things not expecting to hear noise then they are idiots flat out. I don't care how much money you pay, last time I checked the "QUIET PLEASE" signs around the arenas were only a figment of the imagination of certain American sports fans. Over here you'd be pretty much thrown out if you complained about anything above obscenity and violence.

The idea that if you pay a lot of money you shouldn't have to listen to people chanting, cheering, blowing horns and making a lot of noise makes me sick. If this mindset ever hits our shores I am going to start blowing **** up.
