Between the two ends id prefer our own bench. Can cheer on our players during time outs, coming in and out of the tunnel and be loud on defense in the second half and crunch time.

CDR is awesome! On his twitter yesterday, he was urging his fans to find him on facebook. I did and friended him and an hour later he accepted. Anyways, I figured since he seemed eager to interact with the fans, I'd write him a short e-mail expressing my excitement to have him here and let him know, if he didn't, about Squad 6. About two hours later, I got a message back, here is the exchange:

Nick wrote:CDR-
So glad to have you on the Bucks... I am a part of Bogut's Squad 6. I hope you know about us. If you don't, I have a feeling you are already a favorite among Squad 6, some of the most hardcore Bucks fans. Can't wait to see you in the green and red. Fear the Deer!

I just don't understand why some people hate S6 so much. If you want to sit on your hands and not be disturbed while watching a game then why go in the first place? There are thousands of people there..not everyone can cheer on your agenda.

Yeah, like this one...

"The first time it was ever seen was a squad six guy holding an electric green
sign saying fear the deer and he was shown for two or three seconds the
same night. I want to say a sportscenter anchor used it the same night on
evil 4 letter"

My comments on page one in the thread pretty much sum up the real timeline on it - of course using the realgm forums as my resource center.

I had this crazy dream last night I was in Squad 6 but by the 3rd or 4th game I was like what have I gotten myself into.

My throat was sore I couldn't talk and it took all my energy,at one point in the dream I passed out in the middle of grocery shopping at the store.

Then I asked Zak if it would be possible if people from Realgm could just come when they wanted to.He said I could do that if I did his grocery shopping for him.

Weird dream.

There will be tryouts not sure when but I know they want to do them sooner than later. Both myself and Zak & Kristi have been moving this week. We will be in section 208.

I'm not sure if they will be making everyone try out again or keeping people who were at most/all games last year and did well and treat last year as their audition or what the process will be, not sure if that has even been decided yet.

I also know that both Zak and Kristi will be back running the show next season.

ugh, section 208. I guess I'll fully judge it when I see it, but I'm not liking it as of now.

So for all of you current S6 members, any pointers for the tryouts? Is it just go in there and scream your tits off or should I be somewhat organized about it?

I'm not a naturally loud person, so my niche was to bring something to stand out. Flags, signs, great outfit.

As MartyConlonOnTheRun said just have to find what you are good at, people like myself and LarryHarris have naturally loud voices that carry, steger was very good at leading some of the chants, other people brought flags, signs, horns(banned this year :(), drums, some people were very good in the creative department(jakecronus comes to mind) at coming up with various cheers and ways to try and get in the other players heads.

No matter what happens Squad 6 as long as it exists will contain a large range of people who bring various things to the Squad so you should do what is most comfortable to you.

For an audition, hard to say how in demand the roster slots will be this year but do something that makes you stand out from the crowd would be my suggestion.

competition?

highly doubtful...

i found the 'how to cheer' seminar amusing: 1) did they hand out valium prior to the making of the video, and 2) have Indy fans 'really forgotten' how to cheer?? now thats sad.
