This team is still multiple moves away from being a joke still. Resigning Jennings and starting Moute at 3 only keeps us where we don't want to be.

I wish this were true. However I think Sanders is the type of player that keeps this team from being a joke. Ersan makes this team a playoff contender. The Bucks will win 35 games again next year you can book it.

Brandon Jennings, Monta Ellis and LRMAM/Marquis Daniels were one of the worst if not the worst starting 1-3 last year. There is not a ton of downside by replacing them.

This team is not close to contending but they are far from being a laughing stock.

If your plan is for Henson to be your PF you're going to have to trade Ilyasova at some point. Might as well do it now and try to address a position of need in the process.

I don't really see a logjam at all. There are 2 good starters and 1 good backup that can rotate around. Udoh is okay and should never see the floor before Henson.

3 players in a rotation for 2 positions is far from considered a logjam and that's all we have.

The roster looks like;

Ish Smith/Wolters
Mayo
Moute/Giannis
Ersan/Henson
Larry/Udoh/Ayon

The funny thing to me is take out Moute and I'm good with the roster, add Jennings and I'm disgusted by it. But realistically that is the group of pro players that call themselves Milwaukee Bucks.

I want to draft 1 of Wiggins Smart or Parker in the worst way possible. I'm not even selfish enough to just want Wiggins. I just want The Bucks to throw us fans a bone and not the bone we are used to taking from the FO.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

Wilson Chandler just makes too much sense. Hopefully we nab him, Teague, Devin Harris and call it an offseason.

Yep, this teams right in the middle. No hope of home court, no hope of a high pick. I don't see a move out there that puts us in the homecourt discussion either.

Ellis is more talented but that's ultimately meaningless because his Basketball IQ is so poor. In terms of pure basketball talent Monta does indeed have it all (or quite a lot). However, there's a lot more to this game than just talent.

Comparatively, Mayo can drive finish and create much better than Ellis can shoot. That's why Mayo is a better fit than Ellis in most situations.

Where is BuckPack in all of this?
The Bulls are the absolute worst.

Start Moute at PF then.

If PG through SF provide spacing, I'm all for it. What SF would you target?

I know it is sad to say but if the Bucks are dead set on competing, a trade for Rudy Gay actually makes some sense.

I would hate it and curse it but If they want to put a team on the floor that will win the absolute most games next year (even if that is just 44 wins) a trade of Drew Gooden or LRMAM for Gay makes sense. Maybe it would take more but I could see Hammond working on a deal like that.

You would need prime CP3 to turn Mayo-Ingles-Moute-Sanders into a contender.

Not to single this post out, but I wish there was a way to separate the, "this makes no sense - we need to tank" posts and even the "if they want to win now this makes no sense" posts, from the ongoing talk of pieces being put together and then during the season analysis and talk of the actual games.

Sometimes a Paschke type appears and the need arises to reemphasize how stupid bucks management/ownership is. And of course the need arises when that management does stupid things (alot). But even for someone like myself who agrees with all that , and likes to be negative and sarcastic- ultimately I know its not going to happen, and the reason I'm a Bucks fan is because I like the games and the competition.

But I suppose the name of the site is real GM, not real FUN or real FAN, so I'm probably out of line anyway. I just find it personally monotonous and tiring at some point.

This is probably about as fine as I could be with a win-now off season. But it's not going to happen. We'll try to do win-now, but we'll do it wrong. We always do.

Young would be a nice target. 3 years left on his deal so as soon as its done Giannis should be ready to fill in.

On offense he could play in the post with Ersan on the perimeter and add some athleticism to our wings.
Wonder what the Sixers want? I'd hate to give up a future first for him.

Korver got 24 million and Calderon just got 28 million from the Mavs and both are north of 30

you're not going to get a 25 year old guard with upside and who has shown he can score for 15 million for 3 years, period.

You find THAT monotonous? Then what do you find the 8th or 9th seed?
