I wouldn't be happy trading Knight and Middleton for JJ Redick if that's what you're getting at.

You guys realize Middleton is younger than Henson, right?

Fixed.

Correct. Glad you agree.

Noooo. Elfrid Payton. Lavine isn't a PG in the least. He's a skinny SG that can't shoot.

Well, I'm prepping for a Knight/Wiggins/Giannis/Ilyasova/Sanders starting five next year.

Pros:

Size
Athleticism
Defense
Transition Potential
Rebounding

Cons:

Perimeter shooting
Playmaking/creating for others
Ball handling

On the plus side, I think Giannis helps offset some of the ball handling/creating issues given his skillet. I think if Knight re-commits defensively, that team could ball hawk the hell out of people. Half court offense would likely be really ugly.

So much depends on how much Giannis improves and if Sanders bounces back to become an elite defender who we can count on.

Yeah, but Middleton is actually good at basketball and makes two dollars.

That would be pretty neat, but I think Nash might call it a career if he gets traded. I believe thats the rumor.....

Even better. Clear all that salary then and use it to absorb contracts from teams who want to chase lebron in exchange for a couple firsts.

Good is pretty subjective.

Which gives him value in the trade market. I think he's a good bench guy but I don't believe he's part of the future of the organization.

Sanders/Knight for #7/Nash is perfect.

We've been dreaming of that one for a month now. Would do it easily. For me the guy I want there is Smart. Rather than Middleton, toss in pick #31.

Come away with either Wiggins/Smart or Jabari/Smart would be amazing IMO.

Of course Woelfel would have us think that Sanders is locked away at Hazelden or something like that.

It gives him far, far, far more value than as a throw-in.

I mean, did we learn nothing from how we acquired him, as a throw-in? And now we're going to give up one of the best shooters in the league -- and apparently the best from the left wing -- because some are desperate to rid themselves of a troubled yet insanely impactful center?

Khris Middleton on the Spurs would look amazing though and he is only 22. What pick do you guys think he would be worth by himself in this draft? I would say probably around #20.

It's more about getting pick number 7 in a good draft then it is getting rid of Sanders. Hell, we could get the guy you rather have than Jabari Parker with that pick.

So would someone like Jodie Meeks, and he isn't a guy you say no to adding for the 7th pick.

I think that's right. Maybe the Suns pick at #18.

I'd use prefer though to either keep him or use him as the bait/final piece to get a bigger deal done.

It really comes back to what the Lakers want to do. If they want to add a guy like Smart as part of a tear-down rebuild, or if Kobe and the Buss kids decide they want to go the 8th seed sort of thing.

Also, my friend has a relative that is very tight with the Gilbert family and apparently they've told him they're leaning towards Jabari as well.
