This is potential evidence that the new owners are short sided, reactionary, egomaniac morons.

There is also the possibility that they identified Kidd as their guy, had Kidd orchestrate the tantrum at the Russians, leaked the story, and now have all the leverage.

Regardless, I can't see any scenario where they are giving out first round picks.

I think an organization with Kidd and Sanders makes for quality entertainment. Like some twisted version of a TNT show.

Any loop holes where we could do a separate trade and send Ersan for a 2nd round pick and then trade them back their 2nd round pick for Kidd?

Edit: Side note.. I didn't know all that about Jason Kidd. All that stuff is enough to scare me off. Anything more than a coach at this point seems like too much. I guess we can always get out of it if it goes bad but you would hate for him to throw off the development of the organization at a critic stage.

Then, just frame him for murdering a hooker and we're set.

I don't think Kidd would've made the powerplay with the Nets and burned those bridges if he didn't have something in Milwaukee.

Lasry and Kidd go way back. I'm sure they talked "off the record" well before today.

I agree with Stein, he did turn the Nets around after there poor start. I'm definitely on board for Kidd being our coach. But president? I don't think so. Wouldn't Karl be a perfect candidate for what Kidd could be for the Bucks?

Goodness, Kidd’s been doing this since his freshman year at Cal, when he led a mutiny that wound up costing Lou Campanelli his job with 10 games left in the season.

And never were his Machiavellian methods more on display then the evening of Dec. 5, 2007, when, unhappy with the Nets’ unwillingness to trade him or extend his contract, he conducted a one-man job action, calling in sick and missing a game against the Knicks at the Meadowlands when the only thing wrong with him was a sour attitude.

And then, in case anyone forgot, he chased a reluctant Lawrence Frank for weeks to be his top aide, demanded that the Nets make him the top-paid assistant in the league…then exiled him about 15 minutes into the season.

It’s the right thing to say, the righter thing to do. If the Nets still fancy themselves contenders with a rapidly shutting window, their chances improve exponentially if they’re coached by any of a dozen legit candidates, starting with Jeff Van Gundy and Lionel Hollins.

If Kidd wants to chase the bright lights of Milwaukee, he’s friends with new Bucks owner Marc Lasry. (Maybe Lasry never has heard the old one about “with friends like this…”)

Godspeed. Bundle up. Order a big pile of cheese curds and a pint of Schlitz. Look out for the door. Milwaukee? He’s all yours. Enjoy.

More like Edens and Lasry need to read this.

Someone speculated about it because that's generally the case when a coach gets traded, but usually when a coach gets traded, he isn't on the verge of being fired.

This says it all really. A sci-fi movie is more reality based than what the Bucks are doing right now. The first big decision the new owners have to make and it might very well be one of the worst decision I've seen in pro sports.

yep. even if we don't hire him and it all falls thru weve still damaged our credibility terribly.

im in a state of shock right now over this. our owners are **** up bad here.

If I had to guess on compensation I bet it's going to be multiple 2nd round picks. The Russian doesn't care about money and I refuse to believe we would give up a 1st.

If we had to choose a POBO out of a pool of Lasry's friends...I'd seriously pick Bill Clinton over Jason Kidd. Real talk.
