Having to do the press conference where Kidd and Lasry were too busy having basketball discussion was probably the tipping point

Does that mean Zanik was OK with the Plumlee extension and signing Delly and Telly? If so, please pick a GM with ties to the Spurs.

Well the ORL board seems pretty excited about it, but a lot of their excitement is around his draft success and not considering the awful contracts he's been involved with.

NO POLITICS! MD

Im not happy Hammond is gone. He built this team and is one of the best drafting GMs in the league. If you look around the league and at the crappy drafts that teams have with much better picks in many cases.. its sad that we created the environment to let this guy go.

With Parker out next season, and potentially 2-3 pretty vital players either opting out or probably lost in restricted FA.. I would be tempted to punt on 2018.. including trading our pick in 2017 for a likely late lottery pick in 2018. I'd love to have some shots at the top 5 in that draft.. it is loaded, much better than this one in terms of top talent. Heck, i'd even consider trying to trade Middleton for Brooklyns unprotected 2018 pick. Doncic, Porter, Bamba, Ayton... franchise changing talents.
Khris Middleton - Beating up on Trash Can Teams since 1943. Invisible Man status otherwise.

Hammond is leaving us Giannis on a 4 year contract,
Thon and Brogdon on rookie contracts
and Khris on a great contract.
Probably Snell was his pick too, cleaned up Kidd's mess (MCW)
So ALL OUR STARTERS ARE HAMMOND'S PICKS ... and he left first ? I want Kidd gone

What always makes me laugh is when ppl blame Kohl for Hambone's mistakes. I'm sure Kohl really wanted Corey Maggette, Jackson, and Drew Gooden.

The relationship soured when Hammond wasn't allowed to fire Kidd? I would have thought the relationship soured when Kidd was hired without Hammond knowing anything about it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

He was here a few weeks prior to that extension ( I think he started in June and the extension was announced in July), so wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't really in a position to influence that decision very much.

Yeah even if Hambone was given the "go get the 8th seed" order there's no excuse for those 3. None.

None of this matters if the owners don't allow Basketball professionals to make basketball decisions.

What about the rumors that Kidd was about to be fired the night Parker blew out his knee?

It was Dave Babcock who scouted Giannis extensively and brough tHammond and Weltman over to Greece to see him.

I like how an Atlanta reporter is reporting all of this. Classic see a tweet and post it as your own without doing any background info or fact checking.
