Even if you grant the speculation about him wanting out, they should've held out for a better return. Squandering one of our better assets for a probable mid-late first, a second and a TPE is not cutting it with Giannis' contract ending soon.

What are the chances we actually did this to create and use a giant TPE versus doing it for picks and saving LED's sweet, precious dough?

I'll reserve my judgement until I see how (if) that TPE is used, but initial reaction is sadness.

It's the added insight this board provides relative to other sites that brings me back every season.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

There were talks about a starter who "wasn't apart of the culture" the other four starters are all signed to longterm contracts now. I think it's pretty easy to deduce who the rumored malcontent was.

So he wants out of Milwaukee but is happy to go play in Indiana?

I think it's about the Bucks not wanting to pay him/pay the tax for better or worse.
I think he didn't care about where he went. As long as it wasn't MKE.

I'd agree, but I don't think the Bucks were as inclined to match a huge offer when he already isn't happy.

Have you taken a look at the state of the other contenders in the East next season?

Trade for a SG with the TPE and sign Hill. We're fine.

Simple. It's called a contract season. The man was looking to get paid. Wanting to get paid is far more important in a contract year than worrying about the city you are in. You are going to play hard no matter what. After? He has no reason to play hard if he is stuck in a city he absolutely does want to be in.,

Maybe its time to face that fact that Wisconsin isn't a dream place for a guy with the aspirations he more than likely has, and yes that would mean Indiana is a better choice if that was one of the options he had.

Was playing hard so he could earn a contract that he could use to force his way out of MKE, he was definitely stat hunting, I saw him give up the ball 5+ time as quarters ended cause he didn’t want to launch a half quart shot, and never gave it up on the break...

I like this move for the Bucks. Kind of shocked by the reaction here.

You mean a team of Tony Snell, John Henson, Greg Monroe, and Brandon Jennings.

We got worse in the immediate future. I'm trying hard as hell to reserve judgement until I see what/if we do anything with those newly acquired picks and trade exception.

That's an overpay for Brogdon who is always injured. I think this was a savvy move by the Bucks. Brogdon is the one guy we can afford to let go and we even got assets for him.

I think this was a good move. Plenty of teams lose their restricted free agent for nothing. Plus I wouldn’t want to pay him that much.
